A thermal desorption equipment introducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the gas chromatographic/ mass spectrometric system (GC/MS) with simultaneous sniffing (SNIFF) is a suitable method for identifying the volatile organic off-odor compounds formed during the extrusion coating process of low-density polyethylene. Fumes emitted during the extrusion coating process of three different plastic materials were collected at two different temperatures (285 and 315 degrees C) from an outgoing pipe and near an extruder. The mango is the most widely cultivated tropical fruit. Fresh-cut mango is very useful, but it is very perishable. The purpose of this study was to highlight the effects of neem oil on fresh-cut mango fruits kept for 9 days at 4 ± 1 °C and 80 ± 5% relative humidity. The neem plant (Azadirachta indica) has numerous antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Despite this, very few studies have been carried out on neem oil added to edible coatings (EC) to retard ripening processes. Hot Isostatic Pressing elaboration of Norem02, an austenitic-ferritic hypereutectoid stainless steel, leads to the formation ofan austenitic matrix with a mixture of acicular M7C 3 and globular M23 C 6 carbides. Il contributo affronta la questione dell'irretroattività della legge relativamente al c.d. 'decreto sicurezza' attraverso l'analisi della recente pronuncia delle Sezioni Unite della Corte di Cassazione sul tema. Evidenziando il carattere di diritto umano fondamentale proprio dell'istituto della protezione internazionale, si sottolinea la sua natura di diritto soggettivo e, dunque, la necessità - avvertita sia a livello costituzionale, sia comunitario - che esso sia salvaguardato sin dal primo momento della sua richiesta, a prescindere da successive modificazioni in itinere della legislazione relativa.
Single Event Upsets Induced by Direct Ionization from Low-Energy Protons in Floating Gate Cells

Floating gate cells in advanced NAND Flash memories, with single-level and multi-level cell architecture, were exposed to low-energy proton beams. The first experimental evidence of single event upsets by proton direct ionization in floating gate cells is reported. The dependence of the error rate versus proton energy is analyzed in a wide energy range. Proton direct ionization events are studied and energy loss in the overlayers is discussed. The threshold LET for floating gate errors in multi-level and single-level cell devices is modeled and technology scaling trends are analyzed, also discussing the impact of the particle track size. peerReviewed

"Pārtikas produktu un ēdienu fotoattēlu atlantu" izmanto dažādos pārtikas patēriņa pētījumos. Latvijā izmantotais atlants ir izdots 2007. gadā - bija nepieciešams to papildināt ar dažādiem pārtikas produktiem un ēdieniem. Papildinājuma izstrādes laikā bija nepieciešams izvēlēties pārtikas produktus un ēdienus, kurus pievienot. Kā arī, bija nepieciešams sagatavot to fotoattēlus un novadīt klātienes (validācijas) sesijas, kurās dalībnieki izvērtēja reālus porciju lielumus ar iegūtajiem fotoattēliem. Superconducting tunnel junction fabrication on three-dimensional topography based on direct laser writing

Superconducting junctions are widely used in a multitude of applications ranging from quantum information science and sensing to solidstate cooling. Traditionally, such devices must be fabricated on flat substrates using standard lithographic techniques. In this study, we demonstrate a highly versatile method that allows for superconducting junctions to be fabricated on a more complex topography. It is based on maskless direct laser writing and two-photon lithography, which allows writing in 3D space. The wealth of the cases presented in the Histories by Herodotus offers a phenomenology of the oath, useful to illustrate the mechanisms and the coherent symbolic universe of reference.
