Intensidade das relaciones matriz-filial em filiais venezuelanas de empresas multinacionais

Este trabajo estudia la intensidad de las relaciones matriz-filial en filiales establecidas en Venezuela, a través del análisis de la presencia de mecanismos de coordinación y control dominantes en esas relaciones, tomando en consideración la naturaleza del entorno venezolano. Se utilizó una metodología de carácter cualitativo, basada en el estudio de casos en 41 filiales de diferentes sectores, países de origen y nivel de recursos. Spanish versión of the Short Depression-Happiness Scale (SDHS): A Reliability and Validity study in a simple of Spanish elderly people

The psychometric properties of the Short Depression-Happiness Scale (SDHS) were analyzed in a sample of 216 Spanish elderly people with an average age of 73.89 (SD = 6.49). An exploratory factor analysis and confirm­atory factor analysis were developed in order to identify the factorial solution and the best model fit. Just on factor was identified. This study is unique in its attempt to combine the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with external variables and the Information System Continuance Theory, in the context of mobile learning. Questions raised in science education : a Colombian-Spanish comparative study

RESUMEN: La formulación de preguntas es un potente recurso para el aprendizaje de las ciencias. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar el desarrollo de la competencia metacognitiva por medio de la formulación de preguntas. En este estudio se usaron dos dispositivos experimentales de ciencias con un comportamiento inesperado. Se pidió a los participantes realizar preguntas destinadas a comprender su funcionamiento. La evaluación contrastó el desempeño de estudiantes colombianos con estudiantes españoles equivalentes. Science teachers’ perceptions of the current situation of planetary emergency

During the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio in 1992 educators of every subject were asked to contribute to public awareness and understanding of the problems and challenges related to our planet’s future, in order to make possible citizens’ participation in well grounded decision-making. The purpose of our contribution is to analyse what science teachers’ perceptions are, because without correct teacher perception of the planetary crisis and its possible solutions, we can’t expect their effective implication in this dimension of education.

A partir de la metodología cualitativa de análisis de contenido, se reconoce cómo la naturaleza de estas religiones determina su interpretación del fenómeno de la inmigración. En los resultados, como fruto de los hallazgos encontrados y su comparación, se argumenta que la mediación intercultural se erige en herramienta privilegiada para el encuentro interreligioso y el reconocimiento socioeducativo de la realidad de la inmigración. El miedo condiciona la manera de vivir, aprender y crecer en la escuela. Partiendo de datos etnográficos, este estudio explora la experiencia de miedo en Educación Física (EF) por medio de una perspectiva narrativa. Para analizar los datos y comunicar los resultados se utilizan prácticas analíticas creativas. El núcleo del artículo es una historia contada por Eva, una alumna que se enfrenta a un examen de EF. Su mirada evoca qué hace el miedo en diversos ambientes narrativos. La historia se presenta como un recurso para pensar con y sobre la experiencia del miedo en EF.

This study tries to identify the main factors determining the quality in grandparent/ grandchild relationships from the perspective of grandchildren. Three hundred and sixty one Spanish young adults responded to questions concerning the quality of their relationship with the "preferred" or "most close" grandparent. Leadership and spirituality in business and public administration: a cross-cultural empirical study comparing the USA and France

National audience; In this discussion we build on previous work on the role of ethics in shaping the behaviour of leaders in business and public administration to investigate the relationship between leadership spirituality, the environment springing from such leadership, and the resulting followers’ attributions of leader effectiveness in the USA and France. Survey data collected from the USA and France were used to test a composite construct of spiritual leadership including (a) accountability, (b) rationality, and (c) honesty.
