Synthesis, chemical characterization and biological activity of new histone acetylation/deacetylation specific inhibitors: a novel and potential appr…

2013

Three new triorganotin(IV) complexes of valproic acid (vp1, Me3Sn-valproate; vp2, Bu3Sn-valproate; vp3, Ph3Sn-valproate) have been synthesized and investigated by spectroscopic and biological methods. An anionic, monodentate valproate ligand was observed, ester-like coordinating the tin atom on a tetra-coordinated, monomeric environment. The structures, though, can distort towards a penta-coordination, as a consequence of a long range O center dot center dot center dot Sn interaction. Crystallographic and NMR findings confirm this situation both in solid state and solution. Biological finding evidenced a clear cytotoxic action of the complexes in hepatocellular carcinoma cell cultures: one …

Reaction Rate Modeling in Cryoconcentrated Solutions: Alkaline Phosphatase Catalyzed DNPP Hydrolysis

2000

The hydrolysis of disodium p-nitrophenyl phosphate catalyzed by alkaline phosphatase was chosen as a model to study the kinetics of changes in frozen food products. The initial reaction rate was determined in concentrated sucrose solutions down to -24 degrees C, and the enzymatic characteristics K(M) and V(max) were calculated. The experimental data were compared to the kinetics predicted by assuming that the reaction was viscosity dependent. Indeed, an analysis of the enzymatic reaction demonstrated that both the diffusion of the substrate and the flexibility of the enzyme segments were controlled by the high viscosity of the media. When the temperature was too low for the viscosity to be …

[68Ga]Ga-DO2A-(OBu-l-tyr)2: Synthesis, 68Ga-radiolabeling and in vitro studies of a novel 68Ga-DO2A-tyrosine conjugate as potential tumor tracer for …

2009

The synthesis, (68)Ga-labeling and in vitro study of the novel tyrosine chelate derivative [(68)Ga]Ga-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,7-diacetic acid-4,10-di-(O-butyl)-l-tyrosine ([(68)Ga]Ga-DO(2)A-(OBu-l-tyr)(2)) as a potential tracer for imaging tumor metabolism by positron emission tomography (PET) is presented. This approach combines the biological amino acid transporter targeting properties of l-tyrosine with the outstanding availability of (68)Ga(III) via the (68)Ge/(68)Ga generator. In vitro studies utilizing the F98-glioblastoma cell line revealed specific uptake of [(68)Ga]Ga-DO2A-(OBu-l-tyr)(2) that was comparable to that of the reference O-(2-[(18)F]fluoroethyl)-l-tyrosine (FET)…

Crystal structure of [Cu(N-quinolin-8-yl-p-toluenesulfonamidate)2]: study of its interaction with DNA and hydrogen peroxide

2001

A new copper complex with N-quinolin-8-yl-p-toulenesulfonamide has been prepared and characterised. The compound crystallises in the triclinic system, space group P1, with a=13.457(3), b=15.067(5), c=18.589(3) A; α=112.05(2), β=93.92(2), γ=108.30(2)° and Z=4. The geometry of the Cu(II) ion is distorted square planar. The N-quinolin-8-yl-p-toulenesulfonamidate anion behaves as a bidentate ligand through the N s u l f o n a m i d a t e and N q u i n o l i n e atoms. The complex does not cleave DNA in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.

Complexes of organometallic compounds

1974

Abstract Several new complexes formed by PhTlCl 2 with tridentate ligands (with ONO and SNO donor atoms) and a tetradentate ligand (with ONNO donor atoms), have been prepared. The complexes show 1/1 organothallium(lll)/Ligand ( = L 2− ) stoichiometry. Their nature and configuration are investigated in the solid state by vibrational spectroscopy, and in solution by electronic spectroscopy. The existence of chelation by the dianionic ligands on Tl III is inferred, and suggestions are made concerning the Tl III coordination number and the stereochemistry of the complexes.

Synthesis of new half sandwich tetrachloro derivatives of molybdenum(V) and tungsten(V). X-ray structures of (C5HPri4)W(CO)3(CH3) and (C5Et5)WCl4

2002

International audience; The new synthetic intermediates (Ring)MCl4 [Ring=C5HPri4 or 4Cp, M=Mo, 2; Ring=C5Et5 or VCp, M=W, 4, Ring=4Cp, M=W, 6] containing sterically protecting cyclopentadienyl ligands have been synthesized. Along the synthetic pathway to 2, it was found that the treatment of [4CpMo(CO)3]− with an aqueous ferric solution according to the well established Manning procedure affords the hydride compound 4CpMo(CO)3H (1) by hydrolysis rather than the expected neutral dimer by oxidation. Compound 1 could be converted, however, to 2 upon oxidation with PhICl2 in good yields. Compound 4 is shown by a single crystal X-ray analysis to adopt a monomeric four-legged piano stool structur…

Tungsten(VI)-gluconic acid complexes: Polarimetric and13C-N.m.r. Studies in an excess of tungsten(VI)

1986

A polarimetric study of the tungsten (VI)-gluconic acid system in an excess of metal reveals the formation of four stable complexes: two monomers with 1 : 2 and 2: 1 stoichiometries and two dimers of 2:2 composition. The pH ranges of these species, the amount of acid equivalents their formation requires, and their conditional stability constants have also been calculated.

Synthesis, spectroscopic characterization and electrochemical behaviour of nickel(II) complexes with C-meso-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethylcyclotetradecane…

1993

A series of complexes of formula {Ni(Me6[14]aneN4)X2| (Me6[14]aneN4) = C-meso-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,-8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane and X = N3(1), NCO (2), NCS (3), AcO (4) or I (5) has been synthesized. The crystal structure of (5) has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The nickel atom is surrounded by a square-planar array of nitrogen atoms, giving a low-spin complex. The macrocyclic ligand shows the most stable conformation, the six-membered rings exhibiting the chair form while the gauche conformation is adopted by the five-membered rings. Spectroscopic and magnetic data for (1)–(4) are consistent with octahedral coordination around the nickel atom, which is achieved b…
