The lingering memory of the opposition within the EU to the endorsement of IAS 39 is still very much alive, and the so - called “carve out” standard is a daily remembrance of this fact . It is most commonly associated with the widespread use, within this standard, of the fair - value. This presentation aims at studying another battlefield, the banking practice of macro - hedging and the way French banks are still accounting for it. To This topic will be dealt with through the economic models at stake and their impact on the financial statements, in order to observe how an entity may, or may not, account for this specific activity.

A wireless sensor network consists of a set of small autonomous units that interact via a network built by their communication modules. They observe their environment, capture information, then manage this information according to their computing and/or storage capacity. To effectively accomplish their task(s), they need to cover as much of the area of interest as possible. It is therefore essential to quantify the quality of their coverage. In this thesis, we therefore seek to best cover an area of interest, with a precise number of sensors. Echo cancellation system for iso-frequency repeaters : contribution to the development of a new generation digital repeater

On-frequency repeaters are a cost-effective solution to extend coverage and enhance wireless communications, especially in shadow areas. However, coupling between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna, called radio frequency echo, increases modulation errors and creates oscillations in the system when the echo power is high. According to the communication standards, extremely weak echoes decrease the transmission rate, while strong echoes damage electroni ccircuits because of power peaks.
