W utworze istotne miejsce zajmuje problematyka tanatologiczna. Rozpatrywana jest ona w różnych aspektach: poruszany jest tu problem samobójstwa, odbieranego jako zwycięstwo nad śmiercią; sporo miejsca poświęca się immortologii — bibliotekarz ma obsesję na punkcie nieśmiertelności; zwraca się także uwagę na starzenie się jako zjawisko towarzyszące umieraniu; dokonuje się też zabójstwa. International audience; The advantage of skeleton-based 3D reconstruction is to completely generate a single 3D object from well chosen views. Having numerous views is necessary for a reliable reconstruction but projections of skeletons lead to different topologies. We reconstruct 3D objects with curved medial axis (whose topology is a tree) from the perspective skeletons on an arbitrary number of calibrated acquisitions. Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Apes vietvārdi”. Darba mērķis – iespējami vispusīga Apes pagasta un pilsētas vietvārdu analīze, izmantojot tam piemērotākos klasifikācijas veidus. Darba uzdevumos ietilpst apdzīvoto un neapdzīvoto vietu nosaukumu savākšana un to analīze. Bakalaura darbā analizēti aptuveni 265 autores savāktie Apes pagasta vietvārdi, no kuriem 87 analizēti jau agrāk. Apkopotais materiāls ir salīdzināts ar Jāņa Endzelīna ,,Latvijas PSR vietvārdu’’ I–II (1956, 1961), J. Endzelīna ,,Latvijas vietu vārdu’’ I (1922), kā arī ,,Latvijas vietvārdu vārdnīcasˮ visām līdz šim pieejamām četrām daļām.
IDENTIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION OF PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS FROM RED GRAPE POMACE

The wine industry generates a great amount of waste every year, thus its valorization is of most importance. This study uses red, fermented pomace from Cabernet Sauvignon and Feteasca Neagra cultivars. The phenolic compounds were extracted using four different extractions and the content of total polyphenols was determined using a spectrophotometrical method. Several phenolic compounds were analyzed using an HPLC method. Pēcoperācijas sāpju terapijas efektivitāte un pacientu subjektīvā attieksme pret sāpēm

Hroniskas sāpes tiek uzskatītas par globālu 21. gadsimta epidēmiju. Pēcoperācijas periods jebkurā ķirurģijā tiek asociēts ar vidējām līdz stiprām sāpēm. Nepietiekama vai neefektīva analgēzija šajā periodā ir viens no cēloņiem, kas veicina šo sāpju hronizāciju. Pacienta subjektīvā sāpju uztvere var būt nozīmīgs prognostisks rādītājs, lai paredzētu pēcoperācijas sāpju līmeni un plānotu atbilstošu ārstēšanu. Darba mērķis: Noskaidrot, vai eksistē saistība starp pacientu subjektīvo attieksmi pret sāpēm un pēcoperācijas sāpju līmeni, un postoperatīvjā analgēzijā pielietoto opioīdu daudzumu.
