The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between anxiety (cognitive- and somatic anxiety and self-confidence) and mental toughness, and top-class referees’ subjective experience on pressure as a soccer official. 183 top-class referees answered an online questionnaire. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli analysoida koululaisten fyysisen aktiivisuuden ja liikuntatunneilla koetun autonomian muutoksia 7. luokalta 9. luokalle. Lisäksi tutkittiin liikuntatunneilla koetun autonomian yhteyttä fyysiseen aktiivisuuteen. Tutkimuksen osanottajiksi valittiin 639 (tytöt = 296, pojat = 343) keskisuomalaista koululaista, jotka olivat tutkimuksen alkaessa seitsemäsluokkalaisia. Tutkimukseen osallistui 8 koulua ja 32 opetusryhmää. Approach: The sample of the study included 1148 (565 boys and 583 girls, Mage = 11.27, SD = .32) Grade 5 Finnish PE students who completed a battery of questionnaires including motivational climate, basic psychological needs satisfaction, motivational regulations, goal orientations, perceived competence, enjoyment, and anxiety towards PE. Patterns of physical activity in adulthood are often established during adolescence, making this an important period for promoting physical activity. To address this, the Sotkamo Physical Activity as Civil Skill Program 2010–2014 was implemented to increase Grade 5 to 9 students’ physical activity on a daily basis. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of program on students’ physical activity and enjoyment. Furthermore, the relationship between motivational climate and enjoyment, and the percentages of students who engaged in 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity on the daily basis were examined.

Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkoituksenamme oli selvittää, eroavatko oppilaslähtöiseen liikunnanopetusinterventioon osallistuneiden alakoululaisten kokemukset koetusta autonomiasta sekä liikuntaa opettavan luokanopettajan demokraattisesta käyttäytymisestä ja hänen tarjoamastaan sosiaalisesta tuesta verrattuna kontrollikoulun oppilaiden kokemuksiin.
