Polypropylene/polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane nanocomposites – study of free volumes, crystallinity degree and mass flow rate

Nanokompozyty polipropylen/poliedryczne oligomeryczne silseskwioksany (PP/POSS) przygotowano metodą mieszania w stanie stopionym polimeru. Wpływ struktury oraz ilości zastosowanych nanonapełniaczy POSS na objętości swobodne w polipropylenie określono z zastosowaniem spektroskopii czasów życia pozytonów (PALS). Ustalono zależności pomiędzy parametrami PALS: czasem życia o-Ps (τ3) i natężeniem (I3) składowej o-Ps oraz wartościami stopnia krystaliczności (Xc ) i masowego wskaźnika szybkości płynięcia (MFR) badanych materiałów. Polimeryzacja koordynacyjna alkenylosilseskwioksanów i ich kopolimeryzacja z olefinami lub styrenem

Artykuł stanowi kontynuację przeglądu literatury dotyczącej koordynacyjnej polimeryzacji silseskwioksanów (POSS), zawierających zdolne do polimeryzacji wiązanie podwójne, oraz ich kopolimeryzacji głównie zolefinami, a także ze styrenem. Zastosowanie katalizatorów metalocenowych aktywowanych metyloaluminoksanem (MAO) zapewnia efektywną (ko)polimeryzację silseskwioksanów zarówno z olefinami, jak i styrenem. Wprowadzenie do materiału polimerowego komonomeru POSS korzystnie wpływa na właściwości otrzymanych produktów, które cechują się większą odpornością termiczną oraz wytrzymałością mechaniczną niż ich odpowiedniki niezawierające POSS.

Synthesis and catalytic properties for olefin polymerization of new vanadium complexes containing silsesquioxane ligands with different denticity

A series of new vanadium-silsesquioxanes (2a − 2d) was prepared by reacting VCl4 with not fully condensed silsesquioxanes (having from one to four silanol groups) and evaluated as pre-catalysts in olefin polymerization. The activation of 2a − 2d with EtAlCl2 generated highly active catalysts for ethylene polymerization, yielding high molar mass polymers with narrow dispersity. Ultra-high molar mass polyethylenes, Mw up to 4 × 106 g mol−1, were obtained with methylaluminoxane and Al(iBu)3/[Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] as activators. A. 3) sole medieval witness of Sextus Pompeius Festus' work De verborum significatione, transmits Aelius Gallus' definition of the legal concept of possession (Fest. pp. 260-262 L.). The interpretation of this definition entirely depends on the reconstruction of the text. The constellation of proverbs is quite permanent. Only one third of proverbs are supposed to change in about one hundred years (Kuusi 1994: 117−118). This means that the proverbs used in the 21st century are much the same as the proverbs in the beginning of the 20th century and quite the same as in 1850’s. In this article I focus on the proverb as a significant unit. Even if the proverbs are unchangeable, their meanings are not. The proverbial expressions can be looked from at least four stand points: (1) What is the proverb decoded to mean? (2) What do the words mean? (3) What does the speaker mean?
