Cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) is a multi-organ disease characterized by the complex interaction between heart and kidney during acute or chronic injury. The pathogenesis of CRS involves metabolic, hemodynamic, neurohormonal, and inflammatory mechanisms, and atherosclerotic degeneration. In the process of better understanding the bi-directional pathophysiological aspects of CRS, the need to find precise and easy-to-use markers has also evolved. Shape optimization for Stokes problem with threshold slip boundary conditions

This paper deals with shape optimization of systems governed by the Stokes flow with threshold slip boundary conditions. The stability of solutions to the state problem with respect to a class of domains is studied. For computational purposes the slip term and impermeability condition are handled by a regularization. To get a finite dimensional optimization problem, the optimized part of the boundary is described by B´ezier polynomials. Numerical examples illustrate the computational efficiency. peerReviewed

International audience; In this paper we present an exploratory study on the kind of questions or difficulties lecturers point out at the beginning of an educational course – to be addressed in it. These questions happen to be very general and are poorly connected to the knowledge to be taught. We suggest a twofold interpretation of this phenomenon. On the one hand, and in the line of the didactic transposition theory, teachers do not allow themselves to raise questions about the knowledge that is supposed to be their main field of expertise. W czasach nieustannie zmieniającej się współczesnej rzeczywistości społeczno-gospodarczej wiele osób boryka się z różnorodnymi problemami życiowymi, a w szczególnie trudnej sytuacji znajdują się osoby z niepełnosprawnością oraz ich rodziny. W artykule ukazane zostały zarówno problemy życiowe osób z niepełnosprawnością i ich rodzin, jak też szczegółowo omówione kompetencje pracownika socjalnego w zakresie pomocy i wsparcia w przezwyciężaniu tych problemów i podwyższaniu poziomu jakości życia osób niepełnosprawnych.

Konceptuālās metaforas valodā ir nozīmīgas, un tās var veicināt izpratni par aktuālām tēmām. Maģistra darbs veltīts ekoloģisko problēmu rāmējuma izpētei jaunākajā vides diskursā. Pētījuma mērķis bija noteikt avotjomas, kas lietotas saistībā ar ekoloģiju kā mērķjomu. Korpusā balstītajā pētījumā par vides metaforu lietojumu The New York Times un The Guardian tiešsaistes avīžu rakstos tika izmantotas kvalitatīvas un kvantitatīvas pētījuma metodes, un atklātas divpadsmit nozīmīgas konceptuālās metaforas, kuru lietojums ietekmēja vides problēmu rāmējumu.
