In questo articolo vengono analizzate le risposte fornite a un interessante item relativo alla Prova standardizzata di matematica somministrata nel maggio 2015 a tutti gli allievi di quinta elementare del Canton Ticino. A partire dai risultati statistici emersi da un campione di 508 protocolli selezionati, viene presentata un’analisi qualitativa effettuata su un campione più ristretto di 174 studenti di prima media, allo scopo di rintracciare le cause delle difficoltà emerse nella risoluzione. Da questa analisi si rileva come le risposte sbagliate di diversi studenti siano legate a difficoltà nella comprensione del testo dell’item, in particolare a difficoltà di interpretazione linguistica.…

TISSBERT: A benchmark for the validation and comparison of NDVI time series reconstruction methods

[EN] This paper introduces the Time Series Simulation for Benchmarking of Reconstruction Techniques (TISSBERT) dataset, intended to provide a benchmark for the validation and comparison of time series reconstruction methods. Such methods are routinely used to estimate vegetation characteristics from optical remotely sensed data, where the presence of clouds decreases the usefulness of the data. As for their validation, these methods have been compared with previously published ones, although with different approaches, which sometimes lead to contradictory results. Computational aspects in checking of coherence and propagation of conditional probability bounds

In this paper we consider the problem of reducing the computational difficulties in g-coherence checking and propagation of imprecise conditional probability assessments. We review some theoretical results related with the linear structure of the random gain in the betting criterion. Then, we propose a modi ed version of two existing algorithms, used for g-coherence checking and propagation, which are based on linear systems with a reduced number of unknowns. The reduction in the number of unknowns is obtained by an iterative algorithm. Finally, to illustrate our procedure we give some applications.
Algorithms for coherence checking and propagation of conditional probability bounds

In this paper, we propose some algorithms for the checking of generalized coherence (g-coherence) and for the extension of imprecise conditional probability assessments. Our concept of g-coherence is a generalization of de Finetti’s coherence principle and is equivalent to the ”avoiding uniform loss” property for lower and upper probabilities (a la Walley). By our algorithms we can check the g-coherence of a given imprecise assessment and we can correct it in order to obtain the associated coherent assessment (in the sense of Walley and Williams). Darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 31 lapaspuses. Tas satur 15 attēlus, 6 tabulas un 36 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis bija datorizētās redzes skrīninga iekārtas EYEDOO verģences testu aprobācija. Pētījumā piedalījās 74 LU studenti un darbinieki, kuriem tika veikti verģences viegluma un fūzijas rezervju mērījumi ar klīniskajām un datorizētām metodēm. Tika analizēta rezultātu atkārtojamība un ticamība. Datorizētiem testiem ir augsta atkārtojamība. Verģences viegluma datorizētā testa rezultāti pie ciklu manuālā pārrēķina būtiski neatšķiras no klīniskā testa rezultātiem. Pašlaik vispārizglītojošajās skolās Latvijā ir vērojama refleksijas lomas palielināšanās mācību darbībā, kas ir saistīts ar Valsts izglītības satura centra (VISC) īstenotā projekta “Kompetenču pieeja mācību saturā” ieviešanu Latvijas izglītības iestādēs. Līdz šim maz pētīta refleksijas loma audzināšanas darbībā, piemēram, risinot dažādas uzvedības problēmas izglītības iestādē. Šajā pētījumā aktualizēta refleksijas loma un izpētītas refleksijas pedagoģiskās iespējas darbā ar skolēniem pusaudžu vecumposmā; iegūts empīrisks pamatojums refleksijas izmantošanai skolās, risinot dažādas uzvedības problēmas; definēta refleksijas struktūra latviešu valodā, izmantojot Ignāciskās pedagoģijas pieeju.
