Background: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) accounts for about 10% of primary liver cancer. Surgery is the only potentially curative treatment. We report on our current series of 229 consecutive hepatic resections for iCCA, which is one of the largest Western single-center series published so far. Hysterical paralysis is a rare variant of conversion disorder. Its diagnostic can be difficult, and organic causes of paralysis must be ruled out. We report here a case of hysterical hemiplegia that was attributed to occupational-linked stress factors, and was consequently considered as an accident at work. The Eating Disorder Examination adapted for children (ChEDE) is the child version of the semi-structured gold standard eating disorder interview for adults. This study was a comprehensive test statistic evaluation of the German ChEDE in a large sample of children and adolescents with anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, loss of control eating, overweight and obesity, as well as non-eating-disordered and chronically ill control probands (n = 352). Background Neurosyphilis can develop at any stage of syphilis despite of previously recieved treatment, and it can mimic any neuropschychiatric disorder. The psychopathology of neuroborreliosis is less described. Objectives To describe the cases of schizophrenia - like psychosis in patients with these hronic neuroinfections. Mandibular destructive radiolucent lesion: the first sign of multiple myeloma

The occurrence of a mandibular lesion as the first sign of multiple myeloma (MM) is uncommon. This report describes a case of MM diagnosed because of a mandibular lesion. A 62-year-old woman presented a destructive radiolucent lesion in the right mandibular ramus. The lesion caused rupture of the anterior cortical bone and extended from the retromolar area to the coronoid process. An incisional biopsy was performed. Histopathological examination revealed numerous pleomorphic plasma cells, some with binucleated nuclei. The tumor cells showed kappa light-chain restriction. Bone marrow biopsy showed findings of massive infiltration of neoplastic plasma cells, besides lesions in the vertebrae. …
