Abstract The volume ultrasound technology software known as the HDlive technique represents an innovative tool, a step towards an even more realistic anatomical visualization of pelvic organ structures. HDlive can help improve physician–patient communication with the aid of life-like images and might prove useful in the field of assisted reproduction treatment. The clinical application of this novel ultrasound technology in assisted reproduction treatment deserves scientific evaluation.

Ziel: Die 3-D-Sonografie bietet einige Vorteile gegenuber der 2-D-Sonografie in der Urogynakologie. Neben den Weichteil-Strukturen ermoglicht die Darstellung der axialen Ebene die Identifikation des Levators und der Symphyse. Measurement of subpubic arch angle by three-dimensional transperineal ultrasound and impact on vaginal delivery

Objectives To assess whether antepartum measurement of the subpubic arch angle (SPAA) as a parameter of the bony pelvic outlet can predict vaginal delivery. Methods Between January 2007 and June 2011, 625 nulliparous women with a singleton pregnancy were recruited from the antenatal clinic to be interviewed and have a four-dimensional transperineal ultrasound examination. Ultrasound examinations were performed between 34 and 36 weeks of gestation. Volume ultrasound data were saved for offline analysis, blinded against all other data. Tuberkulöse Destruktion des Iliosakralgelenkes

In dieser Kasuistik wird der Fall einer tuberkulosen Destruktion des rechten Sakroliakalgelenks eines 56-jahrigen Patienten vorgestellt. Auffallig sind die verspatete Diagnose durch Verwechslung der Beschwerdesymptomatik mit einer Lumbalgie durch Bandscheibenprolaps und die Abszedierung entlang der Psoasmuskulatur und in die umgebende intra- und extrapelvine Muskulatur. Die Therapie ist eine chirurgische, die durch eine einjahrige medikamentose Kombinationstherapie erganzt wird.

Durch die Alterung der Bevölkerung sind wir mit einer Zunahme an osteoporotischen und Ermüdungsfrakturen des Beckenrings konfrontiert. Sie werden durch niedrigenergetische Traumen verursacht. Die konventionelle Diagnostik ist weniger aufschlussreich als bei Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen, eine CT- oder MRT-Diagnostik ist erforderlich. Die Erscheinungsformen sind multipel und bieten ein ganzes Spektrum von Instabilitäten. Die konventionelle Klassifikation trifft nicht auf alle Erscheinungsformen dieser Frakturen zu. In einer retrospektiven Studie wurden die Begleitverletzungen, Behandlungsmerkmale, Morbiditat, Mortalitat und das radiologische und funktionelle Endergebnis von 222 Patienten mit einer Beckenringverletzung vom Typ B oder vom Typ C nach der Klassifikation von M.Tile eruiert. 52 Patienten wiesen eine "Open-book-Verletzung" auf (Typ B1), 48 Patienten eine laterale Kompressionsverletzung (Typ B2/B3), 122 Patienten wiesen eine C-Verletzung auf. Background The aim of this study was to explore how pelvic girdle pain after delivery influences women’s daily life in Norway. Knowledge about living with post-partum pelvic girdle pain is lacking. Method A phenomenological–hermeneutical design with qualitative semi-structured interviews was used. A strategic selection procedure was chosen to recruit participants from physiotherapy clinics and a regional hospital in Norway. Five women with clinically verified pelvic girdle pain after delivery were included.
