Charles V’s donation of Malta to the Order of St. John in 1530 also established the procedure for appointment of the bishop of the island, whose episcopal seat since the time of the Norman conquest was subject to royal patronage, and thus to the King of Sicily’s right of presentation: the Grand Master would propose to the Spanish king, through the viceroy of Sicily, a ranking of three candidates, previously approved by the Council of the Order, belonging to the rank of convent chaplain and which contained at least one Sicilian. Descontextualizada arqueológicamente, la pieza presenta tres perforaciones, las cuales indicarían que se hicieron para portarla col gada o cosida a modo de amuleto. Huit objets de cuivre et de bronze du piémont pyrénéen oriental : analyse croisée typologique et métallique

Cet article porte sur huit pièces à base de cuivre – deux haches plates et six poignards – provenant de la zone sous-pyrénéenne orientale (Corbières, Haute Vallée de l’Aude, Pays d’OImes), dans les départements de l’Aude et de l’Ariège de l’Est (région de Lavelanet). Elles sont décrites et replacées dans leur contexte typochronologique, alors que les aspects technoéconomiques sont envisagés via la composition métallique (composition élémentaire et rapports isotopiques du plomb). Cinq objets en cuivre – deux haches et trois poignards – sont attribués au Chalcolithique. Tutkielmani käsittelee Abe Shinzon ensimmäisen pääministerikauden (2006–2007) proaktiivisia ulkopoliittisia strategioita. Tarkasteluni keskiössä ovat sekä pääministeri Abe Shinzon esittämä proaktiivisen diplomatian strategia että hänen ulkoministerinsä Aso Taron esittämä vapauden ja vaurauden kaaren strategia. Maģistra darbā “Latvijas simtgade kā valsts tēla veidošanas līdzeklis” tiek pētīts jautājums, vai un kā Latvijas simtgades publiskās diplomātijas pasākumu kopums ietekmē Latvijas tēla veidošanos. Pēc veikto pētījumu par Latvijas tēlu izpētes, tika secināts, ka trūkst pētījumu un tajos padziļinātas izpratnes par valsts tēla un zīmola veidošanu un abu terminu būtiskajām atšķirībām, kā arī zīmolvedības koncepta nozīmi attiecībā pret valsts tēla veidošanu. Līdz ar to nav bijis pētījumu par valstiski nozīmīgu pasākumu kopuma – publiskās diplomātijas – ietekmi uz valsts tēlu. The aim of the article is to argue for the usefulness of public diplomacy and legitimacy of its application as a complementary tool for traditional diplomacy in the area of conflict resolution.
