Opinie o generale Wojciechu Jaruzelskim uzależnione są od stosunku zainteresowanych do wydarzeń z lat osiemdziesiątych XX w., a szczególnie do okoliczności wprowadzenia i przebiegu stanu wojennego. Autor artykułu podejmuje się analizy Misji Air Policing w odniesieniu do wypełnienia zobowiązań sojuszniczych państw członkowskich NATO, ze szczególnym naciskiem na polskie zaangażowanie w misję. Tekst przedstawia rys historyczny Misji Air Policing, jej wymiar instytucjonalny, ponadnarodowy i narodowy. Przeprowadzono też syntetyczną próbę ukazania problemu wynikającego z implementacji doktryny sojuszniczej NATO ze szczególnym naciskiem na koncepcję inteligentnej obrony.

In 1958 the court in Toruń sentenced Adam Czekalski, the national correspondent of the daily Narodowiec published in Lens in France to 3 years of prison. Czekalski was probably the first person tried after October 1956 for maintaining contacts with an emigration magazine and publishing articles abroad. He was convicted for a similar “crime” some years earlier. Today he is unknown and nearly forgotten, despite being a person of strong character. Ailing, he died in prison, a month after being arrested. He was only 57.

Consider QtF(x)=infy∈X{F(y)+d2(x,y)/2t}. We shall prove that QtF satisfies the Hamilton–Jacobi inequality under suitable conditions. An important element in current historical research is the analysis of diplomatic relations focusing on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. They show the history of the Polish-Lithuanian state, its internal and foreign policy from a different historical perspective. In 1700, the Great Northern War broke out and changed the political power system in Central and Eastern Europe for the next decades. Diplomats from foreign courts were interested in this war, including Philippe Plantamour, secretary of the British embassy in Berlin. Ion beam shaping and downsizing of nanostructures

We report a new approach for progressive and well-controlled downsizing of nanostructures below the 10 nm scale. Low energetic ion beam (Ar+) is used for gentle surface erosion, progressively shrinking the dimensions with ~ 1 nm accuracy. The method enables shaping of nanostructure geometry and polishing the surface. The process is clean room / high vacuum compatible being suitable for various applications. Apart from technological advantages, the method enables study of various size phenomena on the same sample between sessions of ion beam treatment.
