AbstractThis article analyses the reports published by the National Bank of Poland (NBP – Narodowy Bank Polski) between 2004 and 2014. These reports shed light on the evolution of official thinking on the possibility of Polish participation in the Eurozone, revealing a decline in enthusiasm over time. This change has taken place against a backdrop of a shift in general public attitudes (in Poland) towards the European Union, and a more specific shift in public opinion on the desirability of monetary integration on the supranational level caused by the economic crisis. Elżbieta z domu Branicka była od 1732 roku trzecią żoną Jana Tarły, wojewody lubelskiego, a od 1736 roku wojewody sandomierskiego. Korespondencja pomiędzy małżonkami wskazuje na dobre relacje, oparte o wzajemna troskę i zaufania. No to ostatnie Elżbieta w pełni zasługiwała za swoja postawę w latach 1733 - 1736 przetrwać trudne czasy wojny. W rzeczywistości stawiała czoła realnym, być może wyolbrzymionym zagrożeniom. Uwypukliło to takie cechy jej charakteru, jak zdecydowanie, zaradność, i odporność na sytuacje kryzysowe. Elżbieta z Branickich Tarłowa potrafiła dbać o siebie, męża i majątek rodzinny.

High efficiency frequency doubling in fully diced LiNbO3ridge waveguides on silicon

Nonlinear periodically poled ridge LiNbO3 waveguides have been fabricated on silicon substrates. Components are carved with only the use of a precision dicing machine without the need for grinding or polishing steps. They show efficient second harmonic generation at telecommunication wavelengths with normalized conversion reaching 204%/W in a 15 mm long device. The influence of the geometrical non uniformities of waveguides due to fabrication processes is asserted. Characteristics of the components are studied; notably their robustness and tunability versus temperature.

The perception of sounds of a foreign tongue influences the quality of comprehension and speaking in the language, as well as learning how to read and write properly. The differentiation and identification of sounds enables the development of aural-verbal memory, subsequently associating particular sound patterns with particular meanings. In other words, a developed perception of sounds ensures an efficient communication in a foreign language. Since learners perceive foreign sounds with varied proficiency, the teacher should recognize the difficulties and undertake remedial measures to facilitate learning progress. Herein we would like to rise up a concern of the error correction of pronunciation in French as a Foreign Language. The results of the experimental acoustic analysis (concerning the values of acoustic vowel formants F1 and F2) enabled to precisely specify the difficulties of the experiment’s participants in a field of French vocal system. In relation to the differences of vocal systems of French and Polish language we suggest custom solutions on a didactic level. Based on verbo-tonal method for phonetic integration the error correction activities had been individually elaborated for each participant.
