The Financial Crisis: An Introduction

This section discusses the origins of the Eurozone crisis in European Monetary Union before discussing various dimensions of how the Eurozone coped, its impact on integration, and the crisis’ implications for the future of the EU. While the authors all show that the EU’s response to the financial crisis reflected the scenario ‘muddling through,’ they have different perspectives on the future of integration post crisis. Intellectual property from a labour law perspective: the transfer of authors' rights in labour relationships

This article analyses Spanish intellectual property law to establish whether formalised employment contracts are associated with the transfer to employers of the economic rights to works created by employees. This analysis is limited to the legal treatment of employee-created literary, artistic and scientific works, which are subject to authors' rights and are protected by intellectual property law. The study does not include inventions created in a labour relationship, which are regulated by legislation on patents and brands, and are thus dealt with differently according to industrial property rights.
Diffusion of Drone Journalism: the Case of Finland, 2011-2020

This article details Finnish news organizations’ adoption of drones for journalistic purposes from 2011 to 2020. The theoretical starting point of the article is Rogers’ (1962) diffusion of innovations theory, which explains how new ideas and technologies spread in societies. The main empirical data for the study were derived from a phone survey conducted among the 80 most popular newspapers in Finland. The findings reveal that drone journalism in Finland has already diffused from a few pioneering organizations to a large number of newsrooms, including regional, mid-sized newspapers.
