Conflicts among different ecosystem services have been shown to be common and potentially exacerbated by management interventions. In order to improve the sustainability of natural resource use, the occurrence of these conflicts and the effects that management actions have on them need to be understood. We studied the conflicts between ecosystem services and the potential to solve them by management choices in boreal production forests. The PEPPOL network (PAN-European Public Procurement Online) is migrating from the AS2 to the AS4 protocol according to the guidelines established by the eDelivery platform of the CEF program (Connecting Europe Facility) of the European Commission. This article describes the bases of this migration process, the current status and the next necessary actions for the year 2020. The main objective is to present the analysis of results on the evolution and impact of the adoption of the AS4 protocol by the PEPPOL Access Points in all Europe until 2019.

This study discusses several specific issues to optimise the applicability and effectiveness of such an important, novel regulatory setting. Determining the best shipper sizes for sending products to customers

A distribution company has to send products, packed into shippers, from the warehouse to retail shops. The number of different shipper types is regarded as a parameter given by the user, who is looking for a balance between transportation costs and stock and procurement costs. The problem is to decide the sizes of the shipper types to keep at the warehouse so as to minimize the cost of meeting the forecasted demand over the planning horizon.
