Heavy vs Light Load Single-Joint Exercise Performance with Different Rest Intervals

Abstract The aim of the study was to compare the effect of three distinct rest period lengths between sets of upper body single-joint exercise with different load zones and volume designed for either endurance or hypertrophy (50% or 80% of 1-RM). Sixteen trained men (20.75 ± 2.54 years; 76.35 ± 5.03 kg; 176.75 ± 3.33 cm, 24.53 ± 1.47 kg/m2) performed a test and retest of 1-RM on non-consecutive days. Objective The aim of this systematic review was to provide an overview of cross-sectional studies that examined health literacy among university students and to identify possible determinants related to health literacy. Method The current review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Three databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science) were systematically searched for cross-sectional studies that examined health literacy among university students. This paper proposes an optimisation model for the allocation of multi-skilled human resources to R&D projects, considering individual workers as entities having different knowledge, experience and ability. En este artículo se exponen los principales resultados de un estudio exploratorio del compromiso con la sostenibilidad de los activistas ecologistas. El análisis de las narrativas de los participantes, obtenidas a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas de 7 activistas ecologistas muestra como su compromiso con la sostenibilidad se corresponde con el desarrollo de un enfoque ecosocial de la sostenibilidad que se descompone en un factor ambiental y un factor social que interrelacionan entre sí.
