Co-Parenting: A Model of Value Creation in the Multinational Network

We analyze a novel way to configure and manage multinational networks and propose a model of "co-parenting", characterized by the sharing of parenting roles and distribution of responsibilities between two units. We develop our argument around the notion of the springboard subsidiary, which has an extra-regional geographic mandate of a more strategic nature. Such extra-regional headquarters help parent firms overcome the liability of inter-regional foreignness. Barriers to Responsible Consumption in e-Commerce : Evidence from Fashion Shoppers

This qualitative study investigates the barriers to responsible consumption in e-commerce from the online shoppers’ viewpoint. The purpose of the study is to increase our understanding of what prevents young adults from making responsible purchases in online stores in the context of fashion retail. The data were collected by interviewing ten Finnish fashion shoppers aged 23-27 years. The findings show that responsible consumption is perceived as complex and challenging. This qualitative research study depicts the main categories obtained by means of an inductive methodology based on the content analysis of 8 interviews using the N’Vivo program. The sample consisted of 8 men (between 26 and 45 years) who had passed a competitive examination. We take into consideration whether this life event and its related transition is an example of a contemporary rite of passage. We focus on changes reported by the subjects once the developmental transition was over. These changes are related to new social identities. The most relevant psychological and structural processes in order to get this kind of optimal changes are also discussed.

This paper explores and describes the experiences of patients, family members, and professionals with the Open Dialogue approach to network meetings at a locked psychiatric hospital unit in Norway. Previous research on Open Dialogue has mostly focused on acute crises in community care contexts. In this article, we discuss the participants’ experiences with Open Dialogue in a new context; that is in an inpatient locked unit. This study aims at producing knowledge that can assist teachers in designing and supporting collaborative learning of entrepreneurship in vocational education. This qualitative research presents the findings from a phenomenographic research of students’ conceptions of mobile learning (m-learning) in higher education. A cohort of 16 students from four universities of Bangladesh took part in semi-structured interviews to explore their in-depth understandings and experiences of m-learning. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to consider the concepts of exposure, coping capacity and adaptive capacity as a multiple structure of vulnerability in order to distinguish and interpret short-term coping responses and long-term strategic responses to food system vulnerability. ABSTRACT Purpose: Using Schlossberg’s Transition Theory, this study explored the lived experiences of pregnant adolescents and adolescent mothers coping strategies during their transition to motherhood. Methods: Based on a phenomenological perspective, this qualitative study used in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) to answer the research aim. Technostress is stress that individuals experience due to their use of information technology. It is associated with critical workplace consequences including reduced productivity.
