AbstractApplying a person-oriented approach, this study set out to examine what profiles of school engagement and school burnout (i.e., exhaustion, cynicism, inadequacy) can be identified among elementary school children at age 12, a generation also often referred to as the generation of digital natives. Individual Differences Facing the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Role of Age, Gender, Personality, and Positive Psychology

Research on individual differences in facing the COVID-19 pandemic seems to be crucial in order to design diverse and highly effective intervention strategies. This study uses a sample of 302 North American participants who were recruited through the crowdsourcing platform ProA; different profiles were established, profiling variables of interest in facing the COVID-19 outbreak. Socio-demographic and psychological (personality traits, gratitude, life purpose, and religiosity) variables were explored. These results are of interest if we want to deepen the study of individual differences at both a theoretical and applied level.

In the context of couple therapy involving the threat of divorce, the study examined the significance of silent moments for arriving at words for the not-yet-spoken experiences. It also examined whether interactional and embodied synchrony occurred during such silent moments. Los pensamientos intrusos no deseados con contenidos similares a las obsesiones clínicas, constituyen una experiencia prácticamente universal en adultos sin psicopatologías. Sin embargo, no existen apenas evidencias de la presencia de estas introsiones en población infantil y pre-adolescente. En este trabajo se presenta el Inventario de Pensamientos Intrusos Obsesivos para Nif'los y Adolescentes (INPIOS-NA), que recoge en 45 items la frecuencia con que se experimentan intrusiones con temática obsesivo-compulsiva.
