Short term adaptive response of symbiotic N2 fixation in pea to root pruning of half the root system, linked to the availability of carbon assimilates
2014
Symbiotic N fixation of legumes is very sensitive to environmental stresses, like pea pests damaging nodulated roots. However, the impact on their N uptake capacity and plant growth has not been studied so far.We analyzed the adaptive response symbiotic N2 fixation and plant growth of pea wild type Frisson and hypernodulating mutants P64, P118 and P121 mutated respectively on genes SYM28, SYM29 and NOD3 to root pruning of half the root system at the end of the vegetative stage. The adaptive responses of pea: cv. Frisson and 3 of its hypernodulating mutants were compared under varying carbon supplies from photosynthesis. At 380 ppm, mutant P118 showed the lowest decrease of the specific activ…
Simulateur de pulvérisation localisée d’herbicide
2019
Site-specific spraying is a technological lever to reduce the herbicide amount used in the case of chemical control of weeds. At the present time, detection and control technologies are available to apply herbicide only where weeds are present and thus provide an alternative to homogeneous application of chemicals on the entire surface of the field. In order to assess this practice, a digital simulator has been developed combining virtual infestation maps with different theoretical sprayer configurations. Simulations were used to localize herbicide applications and quantify herbicide reduction based on the spatial distribution of weeds and the width of independent spray units (boom sections…

Modélisation de la répartition des assimilats au sein du système racinaire chez le pois de printemps (Pisum sativum)
2014
leguminous plant, can fix atmospheric nitrogen through symbiosis with symbiotic bacteria of the genus Rhizobium. Yet the sensitivity of symbiotic N fixation to biotics and abiotics stresses leads to a significant yield and protein rate variability compared with cereals. A better understanding of C and N partitioning between roots and shoots according to the mode of N nutrition seems necessary to identify levers of yield stabilisation. In this context, the model PeaNod developed within INRA Dijon Ecophysiology team combines an architectural model of pea with an source-sink approach. The main objective of this work was to study the impact of competition between nodules and roots on roots arch…
Étude de la biologie d'une messicole en régression: le bleuet (Centaurea cyanus L.)
2011
Agroecosystems are currently experiencing high biodiversity loss, in particular among the plant species specifically adapted to this habitat. This decline results from cropping systems that have been intensified in Western Europe since the 1950s. The cornflower (Centaurea cyanus L.), considered as emblem of the flora associated with traditional cereals, appears as a species that may be at risk and should be monitored. Indeed, cornflower can serve as a host to predators of crop pests and is strongly attractive for the pollinators. This study examines the biological factors that could potentially cause the decline of this species: spatial distribution, potential for growth, population's genet…
Modeling and energy optimization of the operative parts of an air assisted drill
2016
In the context of sustainable farming, the optimization of the energy costs of agricultural operations allows shorter working times and high quality of the agricultural operations. This question relates particularly to the seeding. This operation one is decisive for the quality of the future harvest. The modern high capacity seed drills must be compatible with all the constraints. The main goal of this PhD thesis is thus to develop an innovative methodology, integrating the modeling tools, in order to reduce the energy consumption of the heavy seeding equipment. Thus, we explored four key aspects concerning air seed drill design: maneuverability of poly-articulated seed drills; establishmen…
Crustacés amphipodes de surface (Gammares d'eau douce)
2012
