Sul suppletivismo verbale in Omero: l’apporto della prospettiva tipologica talmiana

This paper aims at investigating the partially uncertain relationship on which the suppletion of the Homeric verbal forms within the paradigm for ‘go’ is based. For this purpose, the Homeric distribution of some motion verbs for ‘go’, as well as their contexts of use, are taken into account. In the light of Talmy’s theoretical framework of the lexicalization patterns, the analysis focuses on the motion events expressed by ἔρχομαι and ἦλϑον (fut. ἐλεύσομαι, pf. εἰλήλουϑα) and their cooccurring spatial elements, i.e. particles, adverbs, nominal case markers, which encode the path followed by the moving object. Cytotoxic neo-clerodane diterpenes from Stachys aegyptiaca

Abstract Two new E/Z neo-clerodane diterpene isomers, trivially named stachaegyptin D (1) and E (2), together with known compounds, stachysolon monoacetate (3) and stachysolon diacetate (4), were isolated from an organic-solvent extract of the medicinal herb Stachys aegyptiaca. Structures were elucidated by a combination of spectroscopic methods, including HREIMS, 1H, 13C, DEPT, and 2D NMR analysis, as well as, first time X-ray analysis for stachysolone (3). All isolated metabolites showed some activity against the human hepatocellular cell line, HepG2. Compound 4 was the most active with an IC50 of 59.5 μM.

The aim of this paper is to analyze a sample of verb morphology belonging to the speech of the Valencian area of Baix Vinalopó, in order to ascertain the effect of Catalan standard forms upon traditional spoken tendencies, once Catalan has been present at school or in the mass media for more than twelve years. More specifically, there is an ongoing morphological change, affecting a number of infinitives, future and conditional tenses of the «naixtre», «ixtrà» or «convenstre» type, as different from the general forms in Catalan «nàixer», «eixirà» and «convèncer».

Villaggio Peruzzo is an urban unit within an extensive system between the Valley of the Temples and San Leone; it is located near the confluence of the two rivers (S. Anna and San Biagio) in the Canale di San Leone (ancient Greek port); it is surrounded by farmland and made of public residential blocks around a square on which a church rises.
