Priming for JA-dependent defenses using hexanoic acid is an effective mechanism to protect Arabidopsis against B. cinerea
2011
Abstract Soil drench treatments with hexanoic acid can effectively protect Arabidopsis plants against Botrytis cinerea through a mechanism based on a stronger and faster accumulation of JA-dependent defenses. Plants impaired in ethylene, salicylic acid, abscisic acid or glutathion pathways showed intact protection by hexanoic acid upon B. cinerea infection. Accordingly, no significant changes in the SA marker gene PR-1 in either the SA or ABA hormone balance were observed in the infected and treated plants. In contrast, the JA signaling pathway showed dramatic changes after hexanoic acid treatment, mainly when the pathogen was present. The impaired JA mutants, jin1-2 and jar1 , were unable …
Validation of the German version of the Kujala score in patients with patellofemoral instability : a prospective multi-centre study
2017
Introduction: The Kujala score is the most frequently used questionnaire for patellofemoral disorders like pain, instability or osteoarthritis. Unfortunately, we are not aware of a validated German version of the Kujala score. The aim of our study was the translation and linguistic validation of the Kujala score in German-speaking patients with patella instability and the assessment of its measurement characteristics. Materials and methods: The German Kujala score was developed in several steps of translation. In addition to healthy controls, the Kujala German was assessed in consecutive patients undergoing reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament for recurrent patellar dislocat…

Terminoloģijas ekvivalence Latvijas Krimināllikuma tulkojumā angļu valodā
2020

The Myth of French Influence Over Spanish Codification: The General Part of the Criminal Codes of 1822 and 1848
2018
The chapter aims to explore the scope of the foreign influences, that of the French in particular, in the criminal codes of 1822 and 1848/50. In doing so, the author departs from the views of some 19th century criminal lawyers who, like J. F. Pacheco, stated that in the old criminal laws “nothing was worthy of respect, or conservation” and “there was only one legitimate and viable system, the system of codification, the system of absolute change,” and recognizing that drafters were fully acquainted with the case of France, a jurisdiction that managed to turn its old laws—including the criminal ones—into modern codes (1804–1811). The author briefly presents the status quaestionis of the dich…

La milicia ciudadana de la Valencia medieval
2006
The persecution of malefactors in the city of Valencia in the Middle Age corresponded a municipal magistrate, the Just…
2017
[EN] The aim of this study is to determine the usefulness of the Management and Intervention Inventory for Young (IGI-J) in predicting the past recidivism in young offenders, and the implementation of appropriate intervention programs for that population. A retrospective study with a sample of 258 juvenile offenders who were serving a penal measure was performed. The instrument that evaluated the prediction of recidivism is the Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory (Hoge and Andrews, 2002). Its adaptation to spanish is the IGI-J (Garrido, Lopez and Silva, 2004). The results indicate that the IGI-J correctly identified 66.7% of offenders and 68.8% of non-recidivists, with an alpha…
