The pathophysiology underlying preterm labor triggered by inflammatory conditions such as chorioamnionitis remains largely unclear. It has already been suggested that beta-3 adrenergic (ADRB3) agonists might be of interest in the pharmacological management of preterm labor. Although there is evidence implicating ADRB receptors in the control of inflammation, there are minimal data relating specifically to ADRB3. The present paper is concerned with investigating the relationship between prepositions and preverbs in Early Latin. More specifically we aim at analysing the polysemic network of the Early Latin preverb per- and the relationship linking it with the corresponding preposition. For this purpose we have investigated the entire electronic corpus (PHI5) of comedies by Plautus and a technical work (i.e. Cato’s De Agri Cultura, ), which represent a substantial sample of the oldest Latin attestations in an extensive and non- fragmentary form. We extend the classical Carath\'eodory extension theorem to quasiconformal Jordan domains $( Y, d_{Y} )$. We say that a metric space $( Y, d_{Y} )$ is a quasiconformal Jordan domain if the completion $\overline{Y}$ of $( Y, d_{Y} )$ has finite Hausdorff $2$-measure, the boundary $\partial Y = \overline{Y} \setminus Y$ is homeomorphic to $\mathbb{S}^{1}$, and there exists a homeomorphism $\phi \colon \mathbb{D} \rightarrow ( Y, d_{Y} )$ that is quasiconformal in the geometric sense. We show that $\phi$ has a continuous, monotone, and surjective extension $\Phi \colon \overline{ \mathbb{D} } \rightarrow \overline{ Y }$. This result is best possible in this generality. Publisher's PDF We investigated Finnish children’s use of print and electronic media in the home and their literacy development. Questionnaire data from 857 parents of preschoolers (collected in 2006 and 2007) and first graders (2008) showed that homes were well equipped with electronic media including Internet access in almost every home, although only a third of the children used the Internet. Television, print media, and videos/DVDs were more commonly used than computers. Most first graders but few preschoolers had mobile phones.
