Incorporación de los ejes transversales en el currículo de la carrera de Ingeniería en Biotecnología del Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica

Se trata de incorporar los ejes transversales institucionales en el currículo de la carrera de Ingeniería en Biotecnología del Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica. La investigación se justifica porque existe una dificultad real en el curriculum de las carreras universitarias para incorporar los nuevos contenidos que emergen y son de relevancia para nuestra sociedad. La aportación del estudio consiste en hacer una serie de pretensiones de cambio en la práctica educativa y en el perfil del futuro graduado, proporcionándole las herramientas que faciliten la educación integral.

Necesidad de concretar un currículo basado en las exigencias sociales, las motivaciones del alumnado y los conocimientos que de salud y consumo poseen. En este momento es cuando se conforman como línea transversal. El término transversal no aparece ni en la LOGSE ni en los Decretos que desarrollan los currículos de las diferentes etapas. El diseño curricular base, ya avanza en su propuesta de discusión, pero sin mencionar el término de transversal. In recent decades, an essential global aim of the reforms of special education has been the promotion of inclusive education. This article discusses the implementation of reforms with a focus on tiered support systems in the context of Finnish comprehensive school education. Based on earlier literature, legislation, and administrative documents, we provide a background for Finnish education policy and special education reforms. This research describes adult students’ significant learning experiences in teacher’s work prior to teacher studies. The research material comprises of 39 essays written by the students of class teacher programme for adults in the beginning of the programme. The experiences at work has opened up the positive and tense sides of teaching and offered a realistic mirror to assess their own suitability for the profession. Spatial Ability and Learning to Program

Results in introductory computer programming modules are often disappointing, and various individual differences have been found to be relevant. This paper reviews work in this area, with particular reference to the effect of a student’s spatial ability. Data is presented on a cohort of 49 students enrolled on an MSc in Information Technology course at a university in the UK. A measure was taken of their mental rotation ability, and a questionnaire administered that focused on their previous academic experience, and expectations relating to the introductory computer programming module they were studying. Academic Success and Student Satisfaction with University Teaching

This study uses surveys to assess student academic success in relation to the teaching activity of the University staff. The main goal is to test how the student’s degree of satisfaction of with their teachers can be considered dependent on the success the student obtains in each subject. The results show that the students are more satisfied with their teaching when they have a higher rate of success, although in some optional courses, the degree of satisfaction diminishes with the higher rate of success. The course expectations, when defined by the difference between achievement and success, impact the student satisfaction with the teaching.
Teachers' attitudes, competencies, and readiness to adopt mobile learning approaches

This study explores how teachers' attitudes and competencies influence their willingness to adopt mobile learning approaches. By mobile learning we mean teaching approaches that use mobile devices to enliven and extend traditional teaching. Of particular interest is exploring how first-order (e.g. lack of adequate access, time, training and support) and secondorder (e.g. teacher's pedagogical and technological beliefs and willingness to change) barriers affect teachers' beliefs and attitudes. Abstract This research was executed as self-study research in a music technology learning environment designed for teacher education. It explored the functionality of music technology teaching from the viewpoints of technical, physical, and social learning environments. Moreover, connecting music theory teaching to a notation programme was studied. The target group consisted of primary teacher students, and the control group were parish cantors. In summary: Academics and policy-makers face many challenges in their efforts to reduce intimate partner violence against women. Investing in public education and awareness initiatives is critically important, as is ensuring that these initiatives are well informed, appropriately targeted and properly designed.
