Background Because ixodid ticks are vectors of zoonotic pathogens, including Borrelia, information of their abundance, seasonal variation in questing behaviour and pathogen prevalence is important for human health. As ticks are invading new areas northwards, information from these new areas are needed. Taiga tick (Ixodes persulcatus) populations have been recently found at Bothnian Bay, Finland. We assessed seasonal variation in questing abundance of ticks and their pathogen prevalence in coastal deciduous forests near the city of Oulu (latitudes 64–65°) in 2019. This special issue brings together empirical studies that investigate how bodily practices feature in action formation and action ascription in multilingual interaction (Schegloff, 2007; Levinson, 2013). Grounded in video-based conversation analysis and drawing on data from diverse sociomaterial settings, the articles investigate the contingent interactional processes through which speakers from different language backgrounds accomplish actions and achieve intersubjectivity. Tässä tutkimuksessa perehdytään musisoinnin käyttöön ryhmäyttämisen välineenä. Ryhmäyttämisellä tarkoitetaan toiminnallisten menetelmien käyttöä ryhmän turvallisuuden lisäämiseen tähtäävässä prosessissa (Aalto 2000). Musisointi on osanottamista musiikilliseen toimintaan. This article is an attempt at a theolinguistic description of such concepts as manipulation, persuasia, and religious language. The author focuses primarily on the theoretical aspect of the stated problem. In the first part of the work, such concepts as manipulation, persuasia and speech influence are analyzed. The main subject of this article are social consequences of the results of the referendum regarding UK departure from the structures of the European Union. The author focuses on the social repercussions in the perception of British citizens and “foreigners” in the face of potential leave the European community, referred to as “Brexit”.
