Crystal structure and Hirshfeld surface analysis of poly[[bis[μ4-N,N′-(1,3,5-oxadiazinane-3,5-diyl)bis(carbamoylmethanoato)]nickel(II)tetrapotassium]…
2021
The complex nickel(II) anion comprises a pseudomacrocyclic hydrazide-based ligand with an L shape. In the crystal, such anions are connected with the potassium cations and the water solvent molecules, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework, which is stabilized by an extensive system of hydrogen bonds.
On the mechanistic behavior of highly efficient palladium-tetraphosphine catalytic systems for cross-coupling reactions: first spectroscopic and elec…
2008
Electrochemical studies carried out in conjunction with 31P NMR spectroscopy on the palladium(II)/palladium(0) halogeno complexes of the tetraphosphine 1,1′,2,2′-tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)-4,4′-di...
Crystal structure and absolute configuration of (3aR,3′aR,7aS,7′aS)-2,2,2′,2′-tetramethyl-3a,6,7,7a,3′a,6′,7′,7′a-octahydro-4,4′-bi[1,3-benzodioxolyl…
2017
The absolute configuration,i.e.(3aR,3′aR,7aS,7′aS), of the title compound, C18H26O4, synthesizedviaa palladium-catalyzed homocoupling reaction, was determined on the basis of the synthetic pathway and was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The homocoupled molecule is formed by two chemically identical moieties built up from two five- and six-membered fused rings. The supramolecular assembly is controlled mainly by C—H...O interactions that lead to the formation of hydrogen-bonded chains of molecules along the [001] direction, while weak dipolar interactions and van der Waals forces hold the chains together in the crystal structure.
A highly selective, Hg2+ triggered hydrogelation: modulation of morphology by chemical stimuli
2014
We report the first Hg2+ selective hydrogelation by 4´-[4-(4- aminophenyl)phenyl]-2,2´:6´,2´´-terpyridine. The gel showed remarkable response towards specific chemical agents such as benzo-18-crown-6 ether and K+ which enabled extensive 10 modulation of the gel morphology. peerReviewed
Selective formation of a unique diphosphonium-diphosphine from a tetraphosphine double protonation induced by zirconium salts
2008
A mixed ferrocenyl diphosphonium-diphosphine cation, associated with two [ZrCl(5).thf](-) anions, is obtained from a ferrocenyl tetraphosphine, as a unique didentate ionic metalloligand in a perfectly selective reaction induced by ZrCl(4) in THF.
1,1′-[(2,3,5,6-Tetramethyl-1,4-phenylene)bis(methylene)]dipiperidine
2018
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H36N2, comprises one half-molecule, the other half being generated by a center of inversion. The piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation, with the exocyclic N—C bond in an equatorial orientation. A short intramolecular C—H...N hydrogen bond occurs and forms an S(6) motif. No directional interactions beyond van der Waals contacts are observed between the molecules, which form a wave-like supramolecular architecture.
5-Carbonyl-1,3-oxazine-2,4-diones from N-Cyanosulfoximines and Meldrum’s Acid Derivatives
2020
At elevated temperatures, N-cyanosulfoximines react with Meldrum’s acid derivatives to give sulfoximines with N-bound 5-carbonyl-1,3-oxazine-2,4-dione groups. A representative product was characterized by single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. The product formation involves an unexpected molecular reorientation requiring several sequential bond-forming and -cleaving processes. peerReviewed
Revisiting the bromination of 3β-hydroxycholest-5-ene with CBr4/PPh3 and the subsequent azidolysis of the resulting bromide, disparity in stereochemi…
2023
Cholesterol reacts under Appel conditions (CBr4/PPh3) to give 3,5-cholestadiene (elimination) and 3β-bromocholest-5-ene (substitution with retention of configuration). Thus, the bromination of cholesterol deviates from the stereochemistry of the standard Appel mechanism due to participation of the Δ5 π-electrons. In contrast, the subsequent azidolysis (NaN3/DMF) of 3β-bromocholest-5-ene proceeds predominantly by Walden inversion (SN2) affording 3α-azidocholest-5-ene. The structures of all relevant products were revealed by X-ray single crystal structure analyses, and the NMR data are in agreement to the reported ones. In light of these findings, we herein correct the previous stereochemical…
Crystal structure and absolute configuration of (4S,5R,6S)-4,5,6-trihydroxy-3-methylcyclohex-2-enone (gabosine H)
2017
The absolute configuration of the title compound, determined as 4S,5R,6S on the basis of the synthetic pathway, was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The molecule is formed by a substituted six-membered cyclohexene ring adopting an envelope conformation and substituted by carbonyl, methyl and hydroxyl groups. The supramolecular structure is mainly built by a combination of O—H⋯O and weaker C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
A second solvatomorph of poly[[μ4-N,N′-(1,3,5-oxadiazinane-3,5-diyl)bis(carbamoylmethanoato)]nickel(II)dipotassium] : crystal structure, Hirshfeld su…
2021
The title compound, poly[triaquabis[μ4-N,N′-(1,3,5-oxadiazinane-3,5-diyl)bis(carbamoylmethanoato)]dinickel(II)tetrapotassium], [K4Ni2(C7H6N4O7)2(H2O)3] n , is a second solvatomorph of poly[(μ4-N,N′-(1,3,5-oxadiazinane-3,5-diyl)bis(carbamoylmethanoato)nickel(II)dipotassium] reported previously [Plutenko et al. (2021). Acta Cryst. E77, 298–304]. The asymmetric unit of the title compound includes two structurally independent complex anions [Ni(C7H6N4O7)]2−, which exhibit an L-shaped geometry and consist of two almost flat fragments perpendicular to one another: the 1,3,5-oxadiazinane fragment and the fragment including other atoms of the anion. The central Ni atom is in a square-planar N2O2 co…
