Climatic change and thermal comfort. Effects on the tourism industry in the region of Valencia

2020

Social causes and consequences of clients’ satisfaction with hotels

2015

ABSTRACT In order to make evidence the social dimension of satisfaction process, we propose a causal m…

Sport commitment and adherence: A social-cognitive analysis. (Compromiso deportivo y adherencia: Un análisis cognitivo social).

2011

Abstract Statement of problem: This study aimed to analyse the ability of a model based on achievement motivation and self-determination theories to predict adherence to competitive sport. This model incorporated commitment as predictor of adherence. A prospective study was performed with a sample of 302 handball players aged between 14 and 18 years. Structural equation modelling gave support to the model proposed. It was verified the sequence of relationships between perceptions of coach-created mastery climate, psychological needs, self-determined motivation, commitment, and adherence. The major contribution of the study was to confirm a motivational model of adherence based on social-cog…

2021

Guianese culture and traditional music, here evoked, are various. It is more a transcultural process that, along centuries, gave an original result born in the Americas, in Guiana in this case. It is a form of refoundation, of recreation of cultures and new human beings generally called Creoles. The musical performance, that I study here, is the echo of social and cultural space of this reformulation of thought, life, and conception of the world. It is, as well, a mean of transposition and transformation of the values issued of diverse sources and categories. It is in no way a second-rate cultural practice, as it is the place where were born philosophies and actions for common life as well …

as it is the place where were born philosophies and actions for common life as well as for individual life. This organization of the musical experience requires several levels of readings to better understand the underlying performance that is the issue discussed here. What is then the subject of the musical performance in French Guianese traditional society? What are the implementation techniques and the intrinsic forms of knowledge? What is the creation process and for what goal? Without a doubtlifeUNESCO::CIENCIAS DE LAS ARTES Y LAS LETRASand conception of the world. Refined Analysis of a Cross-Sectional Doping Survey Among Recreational Triathletes: Support for the Nutritional Supplement Gateway Hypothesis

2020

Introduction: The current literature provides no consensus that nutritional supplements (NS) may provide a gateway to doping. In particular, studies in recreational athletes are lacking. Within a previous cross-sectional empirical study, our group provided first evidence that the use of NS may provide a gateway for the use of doping substances in recreational triathletes. For the present paper, we refine the analysis of the triathletes’ survey in order to provide evidence for a NS gateway hypothesis in recreational athletes. Methods: A self-report, paper-and-pencil questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 2,997 competitive ironman and half-ironman (n = 1,076; 36.1%) triathletes. The ran…
