Phenolics of Reichardia and their taxonomic implications

1992

Abstract Fifteen compounds have been detected in Reichardia tingitana and R. picroides (nine flavonoids, four cinnamic derivatives and two unidentified non-phenolic compounds). The present study examines the taxonomic implications of these compounds in relation to the morphological and karyological characteristics.

Synthesis of a MUC1-glycopeptide-BSA conjugate vaccine bearing the 3'-deoxy-3'-fluoro-Thomsen-Friedenreich antigen.

2011

A novel MUC1-glycopeptide–BSA conjugate vaccine with a specifically fluorinated Thomsen–Friedenreich antigen side chain at Thr6 was prepared. Preliminary immunological experiments reveal specific binding of the tumor-associated glycopeptide antigen analog by anti-MUC1-mouse antibodies.

2022

Calcium (Ca2+) is involved in different cellular functions and signaling pathways, mediating between extracellular and intracellular signals. MAMs (Endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondria associated membranes) are specific close appositions formed by the physical interaction of the ER and the mitochondria, thus regulating the main intracellular Ca2+ flux by means of the communication between the two compartments. This is fundamental to maintain cell function and so it has been proposed as a common mechanism in neurodegeneration. Friedreich's Ataxia (FRDA) is an autosomal recessive neurodegenerative disorder in which patients show reduced levels of frataxin (FXN), a protein fundamentally associat…

Impact of

2018

Drosophila melanogaster has been for over a century the model of choice of several neurobiologists to decipher the formation and development of the nervous system as well as to mirror the pathophysiological conditions of many human neurodegenerative diseases. The rare disease Friedreich’s ataxia (FRDA) is not an exception. Since the isolation of the responsible gene more than two decades ago, the analysis of the fly orthologue has proven to be an excellent avenue to understand the development and progression of the disease, to unravel pivotal mechanisms underpinning the pathology and to identify genes and molecules that might well be either disease biomarkers or promising targets for therap…

Ricarda Huchs Werk in Spiegel der zeitgenössischen germanistischen Literaturkritik

2019

Historical model of settling and spread of Bell Beakers Culture in the mediterranean France

2004

The role of the Thomsen-Friedenreich antigen as a tumor-associated molecule.

1990

The Thomsen-Friedenreich antigen (Gal-GalNAc) represents a tumor-associated molecule, which is assumed to be one of the few chemically well-defined antigens with a proven association with malignancy. In order to analyze the role of the carbohydrate structure Gal-GalNAc for gastrointestinal tumors, we immunized Balb/c mice with MCF-7 breast tumor cells together with synthetic Gal-GalNAc linked to a BSA carrier. One monoclonal antibody (82-A6) was established which recognizes the Thomsen-Friedenreich antigen according to the biochemical and serological analysis presented here. In contrast to the studies performed in the past, immunohistochemical results using this antibody 82-A6 did not exhib…

Constructing images of great power politics : a comparative study on the visual representations of British and German political institutions in polit…

2017

Molemmissa valtioissa monarkia, h…

The state-of-the-art of collaborative technologies for initial vocational education : a systematic literature review

2018

Future workplaces require collaboration skills in which members of different work communities use technologies to solve complex problems. Vocational education and training (VET) programs need to meet the challenge to prepare students to be part of a competent workforce. Particularly initial vocational education is under pressure to develop learners’ collaboration skills and abilities. To date, however, no attempt has been made to perform a comprehensive review of the use of computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) technologies across different vocational education settings to account for contextual factors of VET. In this systematic review, 26 published studies …
