Mūsdienu pasauli raksturo tehnoloģiju straujā attīstība, kā arī angļu valodas kā lingua franca statusa nostiprināšanās. Diplomdarba mērķis ir atrast rīku, kas nodrošinātu jauniešiem nepieciešamās svešvalodas prasmes. Pētījumā tika ievākti dati no 203 anketām un piecām intervijām ar mērķi noskaidrot vidusskolas skolēnu valodas apguves ieradumus. Pētījums atklāja, ka vidusskolas skolēni savā ikdienā plaši pielieto tehnoloģijas un ir atvērti tehnoloģijās balstītai svešvalodas apguvei. This paper aims to answer the question of why constituent moments are relevant to political theory. It hypothesises the Spanish constitutional debate of 1931 as a case of conceptual innovation in parliamentary politics by arguing that debates in constituent moments entail a special kind of parliamentary argumentation when new political regimes are established. The article offers a contribution to the interaction research in the foreign language teaching and learning. It starts with an overview of various research approaches to the foreign language teaching and learning, from the 60s to the present days. A multimodal analysis of an excerpt of videorecorded classroom interaction is then provided. The analysis is focused on several aspects of classroom participation and teaching sequences. Some implications of the present research for teachers' training are finally provided.

Financial Fragmentation and Economic Growth in Europe

Using industry data from Eurostat and applying the Rajan-Zingales methodology, we investigate the real growth effects of banking sector integration in the European Union. Our sample stretches from 2000 until 2012 and includes the phase of rapid financial integration before the global financial crisis as well as the following phase of financial fragmentation and bank deleveraging. We find evidence that banking sector integration had a more than four times stronger growth effect during the crisis than in normal times.
