Volatiles in pantellerite magmas: A case study of the Green Tuff Plinian eruption (Island of Pantelleria, Italy)

Abstract The Green Tuff (GT) Plinian eruption, the largest in magnitude at Pantelleria, erupted 3 to 7 km3 DRE of pantellerite magma and a small volume of trachyte. Fifty-nine anorthoclase-hosted melt inclusions from the two basal pumice members were analyzed by FT-IR spectroscopy in order to assess the pre-eruptive H2O content in the pantellerite melt. Microanalytical methods were used to determine major element, Cl, F and S contents. Melt inclusions and glassy groundmasses have a nearly homogeneous pantelleritic composition (peralkaline index = 1.9-2.2) and variable water contents ranging from 1.4 to as high as 4.2 wt %, i.e. much higher than the 1.4 wt % of earlier published studies. [ES] Esta contribución presenta un estudio de traducción español-inglés basado en un corpus formado por las páginas web turísticas oficiales de las 15 ciudades españolas que hasta la fecha han sido declaradas Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Nos centramos en la traducción de los referentes culturales y, más concretamente, en el léxico relacionado con la comida y la bebida. Las técnicas de traducción observadas se agrupan siguiendo propuestas de clasificación existentes en la literatura adaptadas a los referentes culturales. Bei intravenoser Applikation von radioaktiv markierten Fettemulsionen an Ratten ergab sich, das die Verwertung des Fettes im Stoffwechsel durch die Grose der Fetteilchen beeinflust wird. Kleinere Teilchen (Durchmesser etwa 0,5 bis 1 µ) werden schneller verwertet als grosere (Durchmesser uber 3 bis 5 µ). Letztere werden zum Teil mechanisch in der Lunge festgehalten. Die Verfettung der Leber war je nach Teilchengrose verschieden. Histologische Untersuchungen mit nicht markierten Emulsionen konnten diese Befunde weitgehend bestatigen.

The objective of this lab is to provide a computer tool to study the working principle of a Shack Hartman sensor and the parameters that determine the dynamic range of the same. Postoperative pain is less intense after laparoscopic than after open surgery. However, minimally invasive surgery is not a a pain-free procedure. Many trials have been done in adults using intraperitoneal and/or incisional local anesthetic, but similar studies have not yet been reported in the literature in children.
