Of Friends and Foes in Organizations: A Theoretical Perspective Upon Performance at Work

Abstract The present paper highlights, from a theoretical perspective, the main challenges which aim work performance, inside meta- analytical research studies in organizations, focusing, especially, on factors and organizational concepts, directly related to performance and their relations within. Results show that, in most cases, human resources oriented management resides in an increase of performance at work. In this manner, team effectiveness, group size and proactive behavior determine and influence the levels of work performance, from a positive perspective, whilst turnover is widely associated with a negative view.
Interventions in School Settings for Students With ADHD

This article consists of a review of 16 research studies on treatments in school settings for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) carried out in the last decade. It includes both simple interventions and multicomponent interventions where different techniques are combined. Based on this revision, the conclusion is drawn that, based on the evidence, school-based treatments for ADHD are effective in the short run for reducing disruptive behaviors and improving on-task behavior and academic performance of children with ADHD. Objectives: The authors have conducted a systematic review of oral manifestations of HIV from studies conducted in Asia to establish the characteristics and prevalence of individual oral manifestations in Asia, and to assess the direction of future research studies on oral manifestations of HIV in Asia. Material and Methods: The electronic retrieval systems and databases searched for relevant articles were PubMed [MEDLINE], EBSCO, and EMBASE. Introduction: Cerebral palsy is a syndrome that involves a large number of childhood movement and posture disorders, resulting in activity limitation. It is attributed to non-progressive alterations in the fetal or infant brain.
