This paper assesses technical performance in the water industry in the Southern European region of Andalusia, while accounting for sustainability in the management of water. This allows the opportunity cost of producing sustainability to be evaluated. Given the low cost of raw water in Spain in relation to the estimated opportunity cost of saving this natural resource, wasting water becomes a profitable strategy for utility managers from a private perspective. Resumen El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo evaluar la incidencia de las prácticas verdes, la innovación sostenible y el manejo del desperdicio alimentario en la construcción del capital de marca de los restaurantes. A partir de una investigación cuantitativa dirigida a responsables de restaurantes en Ecuador, se obtuvieron 120 cuestionarios válidos que permitieron estimar un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales a través de la regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales. Cet article analyse le comportement paradoxal des expatriés de retour frustrés mais fidèles à leur organisation à partir d’une théorie encore émergente en sciences de gestion, celle du don/contre-don de Marcel Mauss. En considérant une expérience d’expatriation comme un « fait social total » qui inclut le passé, le présent et le futur de l’individu et articule l’ensemble des dimensions personnelles et professionnelles, nous proposons une perspective renouvelée sur la période du retour d’expatriation et formulons des préconisations managériales qui prennent en compte les mécanismes nouveaux mis en évidence.

The paper presents a mathematical model for the simulation of the ecological status of a wastewater stabilization reservoir (WSR). WSRs are hypertrophic aquatic systems devoted to storage of water resources in warm countries where shortage conditions have quite often to be faced. Several factors that affect the stabilization reservoir effluent quality were taken into account: hydraulics and hydrology, solar radiation, atmospheric reaeration, algae, zooplankton, organic matter, pathogen bacteria, and sediment-water interaction.
