Cultivo de preembriones humanos en presencia de alta tensión de oxígeno: resultados obstétricos y perinatales

El presente estudio investiga sobre los resultados obstétricos y perinatales en los ciclos de donación de ovocitos de pacientes que participaron en un ensayo aleatorizado (ECA), que analizó el efecto del uso de la concentración atmosférica vs baja concentración de oxígeno durante las primeras etapas del desarrollo embrionario. Posteriormente se añadieron nuevos datos (datos que no se encontraban en el ECA) para aumentar el tamaño muestral del estudio. Se incluyeron 1230 ciclos de pacientes de los que 1125 corresponden al ECA. Background: In nurses, self-compassion mitigates the effects of stress, burnout and compassion fatigue, and enhances empathy, compassion and well-being and quality of life. The Self-Compassion Scale is the most-used instrument. The aim of this study is to validate the Spanish version of the new developed State Self-Compassion Scale–Long (SSCS–L). Methods: Students of the first year of the Nursing Degree were surveyed online. Together with the SSCS–L, their levels of positive and negative affect was reported. Variants in ZFHX3 are associated with atrial fibrillation in individuals of European ancestry

We conducted meta-analyses of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) for atrial fibrillation (AF) in participants from five community-based cohorts. Meta-analyses of 896 prevalent (15,768 referents) and 2,517 incident (21,337 referents) AF cases identified a novel locus for AF (ZFHX3, rs2106261, risk ratio [RR]=1.19; P=2.3×10−7), an association that was replicated in the German AF Network (odds ratio=1.44; P=1.6×10−11). Combining the discovery and replication results, rs2106261 was significantly associated with AF (RR=1.25; P=1.8×10−15).

The NUMEN project aims at accessing experimentally driven information on Nuclear Matrix Elements (NME) involved in the half-life of the neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ), by high-accuracy measurements of Heavy Ion (HI) induced Double Charge Exchange (DCE) reaction cross sections. In particular, the (18O,18Ne) and (20Ne,20O) reactions are used as tools for β+β+ and β−β− decays, respectively. BACKGROUND: Due to the side effects of chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX) mouthrinsing, a spray has been proposed as an alternative method of CHX delivery to the oral cavity. The aim of this study was to investigate the plaque inhibitory effects of CHX, cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), and triclosan (TRN) delivered by sprays and mouthrinses. METHODS: The study was an observer-masked, randomized cross-over design balanced for carryover effects, involving 15 healthy volunteers in a 4-day plaque regrowth model. Comparison results for a linear elliptic equation with mixed boundary conditions

In this paper we study a linear elliptic equation having mixed boundary conditions, defined in a connected open set $\Omega $ of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$. We prove a comparison result with a suitable ``symmetrized'' Dirichlet problem which cannot be uniformly elliptic depending on the regularity of $ \partial \Omega $. Regularity results for non-uniformly elliptic equations are also given.
