Abstract The effects of Lewis acid catalysts based on sulfur containing boron heterocycles on the Diels–Alder reactions of two methyl acroleins with cyclopentadiene have been studied using DFT methods. These reactions take place along highly asynchronous concerted processes. While the reaction with crotonaldehyde leads to the expected endo adduct, the reaction with methacrolein leads to exo one in agreement with the experiments. The catalytic effect can be explained through the analysis of the electrophilicity index (ω) of the reagents, and the molecular structure of the corresponding transition structures.
Optimized bath for electroless deposition of palladium on amorphous alumina membranes

A new bath for the electroless deposition of palladium on anodic alumina (AA) membranes is proposed. It was found that the optimal conditions for the uniform deposition of palladium, with minimal damage to the AA membranes, were under conditions of pH 8.4 and plating times shorter than 30 min. The deposited Pd layer was detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The morphology of the AA membrane before and after plating was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The chemical synthesis of new halogenated pyrroles related to pyrrolomycins F is described and the anti-staphylococcal activity compared. The replacement of 4′-bromo atom of parent compounds with two chloro atoms at 3′ and 5′ position increase the antibacterial activity against a reference strain of S. aureus.

This paper explores management accountants’ role change in a multinational corporation. The theoretical framework of this interpretative study draws on institutional entrepreneurship that highlights the importance of agency and enables the theorization of institutional changes. According to our findings, projects on new cost accounting techniques and modern information technology (ERP) serve as critical momenta in the early stages of institutional entrepreneurship that drive changes in institutionalized professional roles. La ricerca affronta il tema della pratica della Flipped Classroom (FC o classe capovolta) all’università, con un’attenzione particolare alla figura del docente e mira a definire le caratteristiche che accomunano i docenti che utilizzano questo metodo e come costoro percepiscono il loro ruolo. La metodologia di ricerca utilizzata è il metodo misto dello studio esploratorio sequenziale. Nella prima fase sono state condotte 20 interviste online in profondità con docenti italiani, spagnoli e britannici. Photoinduced Electron Transfer in a Porphyrin-Fullerene Dyad at a Liquid Interface

The excited-state properties of an amphiphilic porphyrin–fullerene dyad and of its porphyrin analogue adsorbed at the dodecane/water interface are investigated by using surface second-harmonic generation. Although the porphyrin is formally centrosymmetric, the second-harmonic spectra of both compounds are dominated by the intense Soret band of the porphyrin. Polarization-selective measurements and molecular dynamics simulations suggest an angle of about 45° between the donor–acceptor axis and the interfacial plane, with the porphyrin interacting mostly with the nonpolar phase. Iekšējai kontroles sistēmai ir būtiska loma uzņēmuma efektīvas un normatīvajām prasībām atbilstīgas darbības nodrošināšanā. Mazos uzņēmumos izstrādātā iekšējās kontroles sistēma var būt nepilnīga, tās detalizācija – nepietiekama. Diplomdarba mērķis ir, pamatojoties uz teorētiskās informācijas izpēti un analīzi par iekšējās kontroles sistēmu, veikt SIA “Firma Orions” iekšējās kontroles sistēmas novērtējumu un izstrādāt atbilstošus priekšlikumus tās trūkumu novēršanai, uzlabošanai.
