The ius liberorum of non-Roman citizens in Egypt. Some notes on an old Taubenschlag’s hypothesis

Abstract Normally the ius liberorum is associated with Roman citizens, but in the lex Irnitana we have evidence of non-Roman members of the curial class of Baetica who took advantage of this privilege. In Roman Egypt, the constitution of the boulai in the nome capitals could have provided a similar context for the selection of local elites in which Romanized Egyptians obtained that privilege.

Abstract Street names express the spatial materialisation of nominative discourses articulated and deployed by the powerful in their politicisation of the urban landscape with self-legitimising ideological values, political symbols and historical narratives. In this essay I will discuss the Lupa Romana in Roman provincial art. I will present various visual representations of the she-wolf both in the public use and in objects related to private life, and analyze the she-wolf’s symbolic meaning.The Lupa Romana was an iconic scene that was not used randomly in provincial art. The aim of this study is to find the correlation between Google Trends and Wikipedia searches and the real number of cases notified. Materials and Methods: The data on Internet searches have been obtained from Google Trends and Wikipedia. The reported cases of measles were selected from January 2013 until December 2018 for Google Trends and July 2015 until December 2018 from for Wikipedia. The application of biosolids (BS) in agriculture is considered one of the most sustainable sewage sludge (SS) management options, but the quality of biosolids has to meet certain requirements regarding the characteristics of the sludge, those of the land and of the type of crop.
