This paper contains an overview of the equipment currently available in the Norwegian Motion Laboratory, a description of the IT networking infrastructure in the laboratory, a GitHub link to open source code developed, description of the PyQt-based graphical user interface, presentation of robot forward and inverse kinematics, presentation of equations of motion for the suspended load motion and a description of the full system kinematics. The paper ends with a list of research experiments and publications from the laboratory to date.

Kora brzozy brodawkowatej jako biomonitor zanieczyszczenia powietrza metalami ciężkimi

Celem przeprowadzonych badań była ocena możliwości wykorzystania kory brzozy brodawkowatej (Betula pendula Roth) w biomonitoringu terenów leśnych. Do badań wykorzystano korę drzew rosnących na obszarze Beskidów i Puszczy Boreckiej. W korze, metodą absorpcyjnej spektrometrii atomowej ze wzbudzeniem w płomieniu (F-AAS), oznaczono stężenia metali ciężkich: Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd oraz Pb. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono sezonowe zmiany stężenia analitów. Wykazano również, że kora brzozy brodawkowatej może być wykorzystywana jako bioindykator do oceny zanieczyszczenia aerozolu atmosferycznego na tych obszarach np. metalami ciężkimi. Artykuł poświęcony jest analizie wybranych tekstów baśni braci Grimm pod kątem występowania w nich konkretnych faktorów: losu oraz magii. Rozważania pokazują, pod jakimi względami los determinuje zachowanie bohaterów baśni. Jednocześnie artykuł omawia, w jakim stopniu to magia wpływa na życie postaci we wspomnianych historiach. Całość zmierza do wyznaczenia pewnych typów baśni, w których to los, rozumiany jako nagły obrót wypadków na drodze życiowej bohatera, bądź ciążące nad nim fatum odgrywają zasadnicze znaczenie.

Wielu badaczy wskazuje transfer nazw własnych jako jedną z trudności przekładu. Niniejsza praca dotyczy translacji imion w dwudziestu jeden przekładach baśni Rumpelstilzchen spod pióra braci Grimm. Analizie zostały poddane angielskie, brazylijskie, polskie, tureckie oraz japońskie wydania baśni napisanej pierwotnie w języku niemieckim. Praca skupia się na analizie prawdziwego imienia tytułowego skrzata oraz imion wymienianych przez baśniową królową. Artykuł zawiera pięć analiz opisujących onomastyczne aspekty przekładu oraz zastosowane techniki tłumaczeniowe. Due to the wide extension of the country and to the shortness of the ice-free season, the inlandwater crustacean fauna of Mongolia is, to date, incompletely known. However, based on the available literature, Mongolian inland waters appear to be characterised by a high biodiversity, including some taxa still waiting to be described. Novel data on the branchiopod, copepod, and ostracod crustaceans from central Mongolian steppe, from the “Tuul” and “Umard goviin guveet-Khalhiin” hydrographical basins, are presented herein. The content of moulting hormones has been determined in homogenates of isolated prothoracic glands and oenocytes during the 5th instar of the silkworm,Bombyx mori by means of the Calliphora bioassay. Prothoracic glands show variable activity in the production of moulting hormones, reaching a maximum near the end of the larval period. Comparable activities, but at higher levels, could be demonstrated in oenocytes. Controls with doubled quantities of tissue produced in a proportionate reaction in the bioassay. A Cystoseira brachycarpa community from a vent area off Panarea Island (Italy) was investigated in two sites at different pH values. At low pH, species richness and coverage were low and the community displayed a reduced reproductive capacity. Conversely, at normal pH, dense canopies of fertile C. brachycarpa were found.
