Modeling risk perception in ATIS context through Fuzzy Logic

Abstract This research is aimed at investigating the effect of accuracy of ATIS (Advanced Traveller Information Systems) in terms of route choices and travellers concordance to informative system. A Stated Preference Experiment has been made by using a Travel Simulator developed at the Technische Universiteit of Delft (The Netherlands). During the experiment respondents have been asked to make repeated route choices in presence of ATIS. Hepatocellular carcinoma is a challenging malignancy of global importance. It is the sixth most common solid malignancy and the third leading cause of cancer-related death, worldwide. Curative treatments at early stages include liver transplantation, resection and percutaneous ablation, while transarterial chemoembolization can improve survival in patients with intermediate tumor stage. Patients with mild, related symptoms and/or macrovascular invasion or extrahepatic spread are classified under the advanced stage. 04071; Si filles et garçons font des scolarités différentes, n'est-ce pas, in fine parce qu'ils sont différents ? Pourtant, les recherches accumulées sur ces questions depuis trente ans convainquent de ce qu'on fait face, non pas à de simples différences, mais bien à de véritables inégalités. Certes des évolutions prennent place, notamment dans la société, qui se répercutent dans l'école. Il fallait donc actualiser "L'école des filles" paru en 1990, et présenter à la fois un bilan actuel de ces inégalités indissociablement scolaires et sociales, et dessiner les tendances qui augurent des évolutions à venir.

Atlas of Variations in Medical Practice in Spain: The Spanish National Health Service under scrutiny

Early in the 2000s, a countrywide health services research initiative was launched under the acronym of Atlas VPM: Atlas of Variations in Medical Practice in the Spanish National Health System. This initiative aimed at describing systematic and unwarranted variations in medical practice at geographic level-building upon the seminal experience of the Dartmouth Atlas of Health Care. The paper aims at explaining the Spanish Atlas experience, built upon the pioneer Dartmouth inspiration. A few selected examples will be used along the following sections to illustrate the outlined conceptual framework, the different factors that may affect variation, and some methodological challenges.
Transversal training within secondary teachers’ training in the face of current reforms in France

09039; This article aims to define what 'transversal training' represents in secondary teachers' training in France. It attempts at the same time to assess critically the place it holds in the framework of the two years of training that university institutes for teacher training provide for young teachers. Noting the small place occupied by transversal training, this article questions its possible fate within the framework of current reforms.
