Poggio Bracciolini’s last work, the Historiae Florentini populi, was edited and dedicated to Federico di Montefeltro by Jacopo di Poggio in 1472. Jacopo also translated the work into the volgare and had it printed in Venice in 1476. In the light of the manuscript tradition, Jacopo’s editorial changes were more considerable than has hitherto been thought. The propagation of his edition and translation would seem to be intimately connected with his political aspirations ending in his unfortunate participation in the Pazzi conspiracy of 1478. peerReviewed

This thesis presents the investigation of the multilevel assembly of the alkyl oligoethylenoxide carboxylic acids and cyclodextrins. The aim of the work is to combine the short-range host-guest and long-range electrostatic interactions to form highly-ordered supramolecular complexes. The interactions between the components affect their individual response and their properties; therefore, the knowledge of the nature and the influence of their chemical structure is essential to understand the system’s behaviour. Towards a Reconstruction of Indo-European Culture: Semantic Functions of IE *men-

The aim of this paper is to recover the semantic values involved in IE *men- in order to reconstruct some cognitive process modalities in regard to "Indo-European ideology" (Campanile 1992). After focusing on the apparent semantic split noticeable between Homeric Greek and Vedic in the uses derived from *men-, I argue for the presence of striking parallel paths using the methods of textual comparison. Then, the role of lexical nucleus' polysemy in originating the linguistic change is highlighted, without disregarding an Indo-European typological perspective within the realm of the so-called "basic lexicon" to which the root at issue belongs.
