Kopš 1999. gadā Portugālē ieviesās priežu koksnes nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, Eiropā Monochamus ģints koskngraužu nozīmība kā meža kaitēkļiem ievērojami pieauga, jo tie ir šīs nematodes galvenie vektori. B. xylophilus izraisa priežu vīti, kuras dēļ iet bojā liels koku daudzums. Latvijā nav pētīta Monochamus ģints sastopamība un feromonu lamatu efektivitāte, kas ir svarīga informācija, ja nākotnē būs vajadzība kontrolēt B. xylophilus riska zonās – teritorijās, kurās ir augstāka varbūtība kaitīgā organisma ieviešanās riskam. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības likuma 28.panta ceturtajā daļā paredzētās pārdevēja vai pakalpojuma sniedzēja tiesības un pienākumus pret patērētāju, kad pirkuma objekts, kuram ir trūkumi, apmaināms vai tā neatbilstība līguma noteikumiem novēršama saprātīgā termiņā, noskaidrot šī panta atbilstību Eiropas Savienības Direktīvām, kā arī analizēt, saprast un salīdzināt juridiskās literatūras autoru domas attiecībā uz šo pantu. Tāpat darbā tiks apstiprināti vai apgāzti pieņēmumi, interpretēti viedokļi un iegūti jauni viedokļi par iespējamiem risinājumiem un uzskatiem, kādam vajadzētu būt saprātīgam termiņam, lai labāk saprastu kā rīkoties gan patērētājam, gan pārdevēja…
Saprolegnia multispora, a new oomycete isolated from water samples taken in a river in the Burgundian region of France

Saprolegnia multispora is described from water and floating organic matter taken in the Tille River, in the Burgundian region of France. The new species is illustrated and compared with other species of the genus. Distinguishing characteristics of S. multispora are the production of smooth-walled oogonia containing many subcentric oospores which are (1−) 11–70 (−100) per oogonium. The antheridial branches supplying the oogonia are predominantly diclinous, but at times these may be monoclinous and androgynous. Morphological features of the oomycete and the sequence of the ITS region of its rDNA as well as their comparison with related species are discussed in this article.

Abstract Weathering and soil formation rates are regarded as the main criteria of a tolerable soil loss. The efficiency of weathering in the seasonal semiarid tropics has often been greatly over-estimated especially in the geomorphologic literature in which weathering is assumed to be as fast or even faster than surface erosion. Six selected “Red Soils” in two intramontane basins of hyperthermic SW Nepal near the border with India, with 1500–1750 mm annual rainfall (5 humid months), and a “Black Soil” near Baroda, Gujarat, India (3–4 humid months) were studied mineralogically. Abstract The Middle Pleistocene Transition (1.2–0.7 Ma) is the most recent re-organization of the global climate system which includes variations in the frequency and amplitude of glacial/interglacial cycles, increased ice sheet volume, sea surface temperature cooling and a significant drop in the CO 2 atmospheric levels. Here we present high-resolution planktonic foraminifera data (mean sampling resolution of about 780 years) from core LC10 recovered in the Ionian Sea (eastern Mediterranean), between 1.2 and 0.9 Ma. Abstract The cyclic development of anoxic conditions in the eastern Mediterranean deep sea waters is one of the most fascinating research topics in paleoceanographic studies. In combination with bottom water stagnation, enhanced primary production is a common explanation for the deposition of organic-rich layers (sapropels). Disappearance of malachite green residues in fry of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) after treatment of eggs at the hatching stage

Abstract The disappearance of malachite green (MG) residues was determined in fry of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) after six repeated treatments of the eggs at the hatching stage with MG oxalate at exposure levels of 1, 3 and 6 mg l− 1 for 30 min. Fry samples were taken from newly hatched fry (0 days post-hatch, d.p.h.) and at regular time intervals at 16, 31, 43, 57 and 96 d.p.h. The residues of MG and its major metabolite, leucomalachite green (LMG), were found to accumulate in the fry after MG treatments of eggs, with the highest residue levels being determined in the newly hatched fry. In particolare, lo scopo della tesi è quello di definire delle procedure di rilievo da SAPR e di analizzare le problematiche connesse con la modellazione tridimensionale da dati SAPR tramite software SfM/fotogrammetrici.
