Identity and Cultural Transition : Lessons to Learn from a Negative Case Analysis

In this paper, we present a single case study of identity crisis that unfolded in the cultural transition context. Our participant was ‘Jenni’ – a 26 years old female basketball player with the double (Scandinavian and African American) ethnic identity. In a series of life story interviews, she shared her story of migrating to the USA at the age of 16 for sport and study. Jenni’s transition narrative was extracted and analyzed using several complementary theoretical frameworks, including the intersectionality perspective on identity. Coronavirus 2019 pandemic lockdown in Italy lasted for 2 months, 1 week and 2 days. During this long period, one of the longest in Europe, the restrictions produced effects on people’s psychological well-being, with consequences that also continued after lockdown. The purpose of the study is to investigate these effects and how they changed in the general population over a period of time. A thorough understanding of neutrino cross sections in a wide range of energies is crucial for the successful execution of the entire neutrino physics program. In order to extract neutrino properties, long-baseline experiments need an accurate determination of neutrino cross sections within their detector(s). Since very few of the needed neutrino cross sections across the energy spectrum are directly measured, we emphasize the need for theoretical input and indirect measurements such as electron scattering, which would complement direct measurements. Mērķi. Sniegt labākos šobrīd pieejamos pierādījumus par mātes saslimstību, kas rezultējas ar histerektomiju un ir saistīta ar ĶG veikšanu sievietēm, kurām jau bijis ĶG. Salīdzināt riska faktorus grupās "histerektomija" un "ne histerektomija”. Noteikt bērna stāvokli, izmantojot Apgares skalu, pēc ĶG un pēc vaginālām dzemdībām. Materiāli un metodes. Pētījumā retrospektīvi analizēti dati par 1620 pacientēm, kas 2015 līdz 2017. gada novembrim. Visām sievietēm ir iepriekš bijis veikts ĶG, tātad: uz dzemdes bija rēta. Objectives Increasing evidence suggests that inflammation has a detrimental effect on muscle strength. Our objective was to analyse the association between muscle performance and different disease activity levels in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Method A total of 199 consecutive outpatients were subject to cross-sectional assessment. Aims: Loneliness is an important public health challenge for all ages. This study reports time trends of loneliness among adolescents over a 12-year period and analyses the strength of the associations between loneliness, health complaints, and medicine use. Methods: Data were derived from the cross-sectional Finnish Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study conducted in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018. The study population is based on a random sample of schools with 20,444 participants aged 11–15 years.
