This paper is a report on the state-of-the-art of reservoir limnology in Sicily, the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea. The territory is characterised by a semi-arid climate with a dry and a wet semester occurring in the year. Evaporative losses are strong during the summer and, on an annual basis, they often exceed precipitation. Thus, reservoirs constitute an important water resource for the island to supply drinking water and to provide for agricultural needs in the periods of drought. Relationship between trophic state and plankton community structure in 21 Sicilian dam reservoirs

The relationship between the trophic state of 21 Sicilian dam reservoirs and their taxonomic community structure of phytoplankton (87 taxa) as well as zooplankton (45 taxa) have been examined by means of cluster analysis performed using annual average biomass values. The phytoplankton community structure was closely connected with the trophic state of the reservoirs, whereas the zooplankton community structure was related to hydrological regimes peculiar to the individual water bodies and not to the trophic state. © 1994 Kluwer Academic Publishers.

Etude de l'évolution du potentiel génétique de populations bactériennes dégradant l'atrazine

Atrazine, one of the most used herbicide to control the development of weeds in crop, has led to the contamination of the environment. Repeated exposure to this herbicide resulted in the emergence of microbial populations able to degrade atrazine and to use it as a nitrogen source for its growth. These microbial populations are responsible for accelerated biodegradation of atrazine (BDA), a key ecosystemic service diminishing the persistence of this herbicide in the environment. N: El presente trabajo analiza las tendencias doctrinarias y jurisprudenciales en torno al trabajo que realizan los árbitros de equidad en el arbitraje comercial internacional. En específico, esta ponencia se refiere a la posición de estos árbitros frente al contrato que da origen al conflicto entre las partes. Luego del análisis casuístico se concluye que en general los árbitros de equidad respetan el contrato como límite a su labor de adjudicación.

Qui sont ces jeunes que la sélection prive d’accès aux études supérieures ? Selon les données de l’application Parcoursup où les « recalés » ont représenté, en 2018, 6 % des candidats ayant obtenu le baccalauréat, ils constituent 3 % des bacheliers généraux, 8 % des bacheliers technologiques et 14 % des bacheliers professionnels.
