The current study examined the influence of cognitive style and teaching style on the motor skill performance of children. A sample of 163 students aged 11 to 12 years old (M = 11.31, SD = 0.46) were categorized as either field dependent or field independent on the basis of their scores on the Group Embedded Figures Test. Children completed a ball handling skills task that assessed throwing and catching abilities at the commencement and completion of the treatment. Background and Study Aims: Previous research on musical performance achievement has focused on the overall musical performance and on musical subskills. Two studies were conducted to identify predictors of motor skill acquisition in children pianists and of long-term development of motor skills in expert pianists in a relevant musical context. Methods: Motor skills at the piano were assessed in standardized C major scale playing. Kształcenie umiejętności efektywnego słuchania na lekcjach języka polskiego

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zweryfikowanie, w jaki sposób autorzy podręczników szkolnych proponują kształcić umiejętność słuchania na lekcjach języka polskiego. Autorka po omówieniu specyfiki słuchania w komunikacji interpersonalnej oraz szczegółowych sprawności percepcyjnych, wyznacza cele doskonalenia słuchowego odbioru w edukacji polonistycznej. Następnie przedstawia analizę zadań dydaktycznych sklasyfikowanych ze względu na rozwijaną sprawność percepcyjną. Artykuł kończy się ukazaniem modelu kształcenia umiejętności słuchania wyłaniającego się z wybranych podręczników szkolnych.

Tutkimuksemme on osa suomalaista VARJO-hanketta, jonka tarkoitus on kehittää palveluita eron jälkeisen vainon uhrien tueksi sekä ehkäisevään työhön ja kuntoutukseen liittyviä työmuotoja. Tutkimuksemme aineisto koostui naispuolisten vainon uhrien internetpohjaisen vertaisryhmän aikana käydyistä keskusteluista, joita tarkastelimme sisällönanalyysin avulla. Tutkimuksemme tarkoitus oli lisätä tietoisuutta vainon uhrien kokemuksista liittyen viranomaisten toimintaan ja tutkintaprosessiin sekä selviytymiskeinoista, jotka he kokivat hyödyllisiksi yrittäessään selviytyä eron jälkeisestä vainosta. This paper purports to shed light on primary school teachers’ initial training in the field of creative writing, rewriting and rough draft practices. It analyses a corpus of various pieces of writing by school children and trainee teachers, collected through the implementation of a teaching unit using authors’ and children’s literature writers’ drafts and working documents with children aged 8-11 (CE2-CM) on the one hand, and with trainee teachers on the other. As part of a seminar on introduction to research, these trainee teachers thus questioned their own writing practices, their conception of rewriting and their teaching practices
