Maģistra darbs “Sabiedrības vides apziņas pilnveide ilgtspējīgai attīstībai – Kalsnavas pagasta piemērs” izstrādās, lai veicinātu Kalsnavas pagasta iedzīvotāju vides apziņas paaugstināšanos. Pētījuma mērķis ir izveidot labās prakses piemērus sabiedrības vides apziņas paaugstināšanai Kalsnavas pagastā, pilnveidot sabiedrības vides apziņu. Pētījuma ietvaros tika izplānotas 3 izglītojošas nodarbības Kalsnavas pagasta iedzīvotājiem, aprobētas tās un veikta izglītojošo nodarbību analīze. Tika veikts Kalsnavas pagasta teritorijas apsekojums un intervēti vides nozares eksperti, lai veiksmīgāk izstrādātu izglītojošo nodarbību plānus. EXPANSION OF GLOBAL RULE BY LAW ENFORCEMENT: COLOMBIA’S EXTRADITION EXPERIENCE, 1999–2017

We argue that transnational criminal law has enacted a global rule by law enforcement agencies, at odds with the rule of law. Mutual legal assistance agreements (MLAA) allow exporting law enforcement practices without proper judicial oversight. Consequently defendants required in extradition are exposed to abuses, as illustrated here with extradition cases from Colombia to the United States of America (USA) in the past decades. Järjestettyjen avioliittojen monimuotoisuus on ollut varsin vähän esillä suomalaisessa mediassa ja julkisessa keskustelussa. Keskustelu niistä on ylipäätään ollut suppeaa, ja keskittynyt lähinnä pakkoavioliittoihin. Vaikka muissa Pohjoismaissa julkinen keskustelu on ollut vilkkaampaa kuin Suomessa, käsitys järjestetyistä avioliitoista on pysynyt melko yksiulotteisena. Järjestettyä avioliittoa ja pakkoavioliittoa on esimerkiksi käytetty toisilleen rinnasteisina ja keskenään vaihtokelpoisina käsitteinä. Most research into the adaptive significance of warning signals has focused on the colouration and patterns of prey animals. However, behaviour, odour and body shape can also have signal functions and thereby reduce predators' willingness to attack defended prey. European vipers all have a distinctive triangular head shape; and they are all venomous. Several non-venomous snakes, including the subfamily Natricinae, commonly flatten their heads (also known as head triangulation) when disturbed. The adaptive significance of this potential behavioural mimicry has never been investigated. The recent developments in Nordic higher education policy are closely linked with global tendencies, which are in turn reacted to at national and local levels. The financial crisis, massification of higher education, and the attachment to transnational, mainly European policies have set the background for new tendencies in education governance. New governance patterns are the outcome of transnational pressures, which are domesticated at the national level. Names of Snakes in Latvian Texts of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries This article analyses the naming of snakes in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Latvian texts which are taken from the Corpus of Early Written Latvian Texts, containing the first Latvian dictionaries, religious texts, and some secular texts. The objective of the paper is to try to determine how precisely the translators of religious texts rendered names of snakes, and to ascertain whether any semantic changes have taken place, or whether religious texts show specific use. El presente trabajo contrapone dos versiones de la justicia transicional: para la primera, minimalista, se trata de una justicia ordinaria que solo es excepcional porque debe ejercerse en condiciones extremas que no afectan sin embargo a su naturaleza.
