Tytuły utworów literackich, muzycznych, malarskich czy filmowych należą do zbioru nazw własnych, których główną funkcją jest identyfikowanie poszczególnych obiektów (dzieł sztuki). Tym samym tytuły należą do klasy reproduktów, gdyż w tekstach muszą być reprodukowane w ustalonej dla danego języka formie. Tworzy to istotny problem dla tłumaczy, zwłaszcza w przekładzie tekstów, które zawierają w sobie tytuły. W artykule stawiana jest teza, że wprowadzanie tytułów do słowników ogólnych i/lub tworzenie specjalnych słowników przekładowych mogłoby rozwiązać ten problem translatorski. Hybridisyyttä on tutkittu postkoloniaalisen kirjallisuudentutkimukseen kuuluvana, mutta se taipuu toisen kulttuurin omaksumisen tutkimiseen muissakin tilanteissa, esimerkiksi maahanmuutossa ja pakolaisuudessa. Identiteetti kuvaa ihmisen syvintä ja ominta olemusta. Puhutaan myös hybridisestä identiteetistä, kun ihminen omaksuu kahden tai useamman kulttuurin toimintatapoja. Americanah käsittelee rasismia erityisesti Yhdysvalloissa, sillä rotusyrjintä on osa amerikkalaista kulttuuria.

Most research into the adaptive significance of warning signals has focused on the colouration and patterns of prey animals. However, behaviour, odour and body shape can also have signal functions and thereby reduce predators' willingness to attack defended prey. European vipers all have a distinctive triangular head shape; and they are all venomous. Several non-venomous snakes, including the subfamily Natricinae, commonly flatten their heads (also known as head triangulation) when disturbed. Background On-going global climate change poses a serious threat for natural populations unless they are able to evolutionarily adapt to changing environmental conditions (e.g. increasing average temperatures, occurrence of extreme weather events). A prerequisite for evolutionary change is within-population heritable genetic variation in traits subject to selection.
