The article demonstrates the significance of Florian Znaniecki’s personal documents method and biographical method in contemporary sociology. By relating to the methodological disputes of the late 19lh and early 20lh century, it indicates the theoretical basis for the establishment of those methods and the connection with inductive sociology put forward by F. Znaniecki. It presents the diary-writing competitions announced in the interwar period as a sign of the implementation thereof. The paper demonstrates the methodologic aspect of the Polish sociologic research on the Silesian region in the interwar period. Referring to pre-sociologic and sociologic research, it depicts the methodologic foundations and intellectual perspectives that were conceptualised by ludwik krzy-wicki and constitute the cognitive basis for the construction of the knowledge about Silesia – they are defined as the object analysis current and the subject analysis current. Główny przyjęty przeze mnie problem badawczy sformułowałam w formie pytania: jakie znaczenie ma rodzina w kształtowaniu postaw prospołecznych u tych osób, które realizują zadania ponadosobiste? Poszukuję również odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy w biografii własnej i rodziny można odnaleźć źródła zainteresowania problematyką społeczną? A more efficient second order blind identification method for separation of uncorrelated stationary time series

The classical second order source separation methods use approximate joint diagonalization of autocovariance matrices with several lags to estimate the unmixing matrix. Based on recent asymptotic results, we propose a novel unmixing matrix estimator which selects the best lag set from a finite set of candidate sets specified by the user. The coronation parliament in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was always an exceptional event not only for the newly elected monarch but also for diplomats from foreign courts who reported about its proceedings. In their reports, they tried to provide as much information as possible, not only political but also moral, social, and related to the ceremony. Of course, such material needs careful analysis, as the diplomats, othen unfamiliar with the reality of the Polish-Lithuanian state, misrepresented the facts or presented them in a wrong context. Comparative Genomics of Thalassobius Including the Description of Thalassobius activus sp. nov., and Thalassobius autumnalis sp. nov.

A taxogenomic study was conducted to describe two new Thalassobius species and to analyze the internal consistency of the genus Thalassobius along with Shimia and Thalassococcus. Strains CECT 5113T, CECT 5114, CECT 5118T, and CECT 5120 were isolated from coastal Mediterranean seawater, Spain. Cells were Gram-negative, non- motile coccobacilli, aerobic chemoorganotrophs, with an optimum temperature of 26°C and salinity of 3.5–5%. Major cellular fatty acids of strains CECT 5113T and CECT 5114 were C18 : 1 ω7c/ω6c and C10 : 0 3OH, G+C content was 54.4–54.5 mol% and were able to utilize propionate, L-threonine, L- arginine, and L-aspartate as carbon sources. Abstract Purpose In cold climates, glyphosate residues may linger in soils, with effects on plant–microbe interactions and, consequently, plant performance. Here, we explore the influence of glyphosate residues on the endophytic microbiota (bacteria and fungi) and performance of the perennial nitrogen-fixing weed Lupinus polyphyllus. Methods In a common garden, we grew plants from six populations of L. polyphyllus in glyphosate-treated or untreated control soils, with or without additional phosphorus. En la primera part de l'article, es presenta de manera contextualitzada el panorama desolador de l'alimentació al món. En la segona part, s'explica detalladament la proposta local de creació i posada en marxa d'una xarxa agroecològica a la població d'Alcoi, que ve funcionant des de l'any 2009. Per últim, conclou l'article destacant alguns reptes de futur (no tots, és clar) amb els quals ens trobem no només els membres que formem part de la xarxa agroecològica alcoiana, sinó també la resta de persones que formem la societat.

Główny problem poruszony w artykule dotyczy tego, w jaki sposób badane jest uczestnictwo dzieci w rynku finansowym i ich możliwości wykazywania różnych zachowań finansowych. Niniejsze opracowanie stanowi próbę rozstrzygnięcia dylematu, czy zachowania finansowe dzieci powinny być przedmiotem badań w obrębie finansów czy raczej psychologii. Zwrócono w nim uwagę na zakres, w jakim badania takie były dotychczas prowadzone, a takżeq na to, i jakich wniosków dostarczały. W pracy przedstawiono odrębność metodologiczną badań oraz określono, jakich informacji dostarczają.
