Tutkin pro gradu-tutkielmassani lyhenteiden käyttöä ja muodostumista massamedian teksteissä. Tarkoituksenani on selvittää, miten lyhenteitä käytetään sekä miten ne muodostuvat uutisteksteissä ja keskustelufoorumeilla. Tutkielmassani keskityn tarkastelemaan nimenomaan lyhenteiden muodostumisen eroja median eri ympäristöissä. Evaluation of oleander accessions for resistance to Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. nerii

Nine oleander accessions were evaluated for resistance to Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. nerii, causal agent of the oleander knot disease. None of the accessions was resistant when tested with three bacterial strains of different virulence, but they varied significantly in the severity of symptoms induced by these strains. The most susceptible accessions "Dark Salmon" (dark salmon flower) showed deformation of stems, leaves and seed pods and secondary knots on aerial parts, whereas the least susceptible one "White" (white flower), inoculated with the least virulent strain, showed neither localized knots at the inoculation point nor secondary symptoms. Participatory shift scheduling for irregular working hours can influence shift schedules and sickness absence. We investigated the effects of using participatory shift scheduling and shift schedule evaluation tools on working hour characteristics and sickness absence. We utilized a panel data for 2015−2019 with 16,557 hospital employees (6143 in the intervention and 10,345 in the control group). Darba mērķis ir definēt galvenās tēmas un metodes, kas izmantotas, veidojot Apple zīmolam piederošo produktu un funkciju nosaukumus, kā arī partneru izmantotos nosaukumus, uz kuriem Apple atsaucas, lai pilnveidotu sava zīmola stāstu. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizētas izvēlētas Apple oficiālās reklāmas, analizējot, kā reklāmās minēto zīmolu nosaukumu nozīme atklājas semiotiski, pragmatiski, semantiski un kā šī nozīme palīdz pilnveidot Apple zīmola stāstu. Pēc darba rezultātiem var secināt, ka Apple zīmols izmanto vārdus no cilvēka ķermeņa semantiskā lauka, lai ierīces iespējas un produkti iegūtu personiskāku nokrāsu.
