Cuticular hydrocarbons (CHCs) cover the cuticles of virtually all insects, serving as a waterproofing agent and as a communication signal. The causes for the high CHC variation between species, and the factors influencing CHC profiles, are scarcely understood. Here, we compare CHC profiles of ant species from seven biogeographic regions, searching for physiological constraints and for climatic and biotic selection pressures. Molecule length constrained CHC composition: long-chain profiles contained fewer linear alkanes, but more hydrocarbons with disruptive features in the molecule. The optímal shape design of a two-dimensíonal elastic body on rigid foundatíon is analyzed. The relation between the continuous problem and the díscrete problem achieved by FEM is presented. Shape optimization in contact problems based on penalization of the state inequality

The paper deals with the approximation of optimal shape of elastic bodies, unilaterally supported by a rigid, frictionless foundation. Original state inequality, describing the behaviour of such a body is replaced by a family of penalized state problems. Fear of Childbirth, Self-Esteem and Birth Experiences: Pregnancy and Postpartum

This dataset contains all three phases of data collection from the survey study Fear of Childbirth, Birth Experiences, Self-Esteem and Parental Burnout. The data contains answers from participants (n=125) in late pregnancy (30+ weeks in gestation) and postpartum (4-8 weeks after childbirth and 1 year after childbirth). The data is collected in 2020-2021 from four Finnish cities. Participants have completed background information (in pregnancy), fear of childbirth scale (W-DEQ, all three time points), Rosenberg self-esteem scale (all three time points), and Delivery Satisfaction scale (only 4-8 weeks postpartum).
