The Use of Cluster Analysis to Segment Clients of a Sport Center in Spain

Abstract This research examines the motivation profiles of 218 consumers at a sport center in Valencia, Spain. We employed the Motivation in Sport Scale (MISS–Sport Center) with the following eight motives (factors): Positive Affect, Social Contact, Physical Exercise, Coping Strategy, Challenge, Body Image, Competition, and Entertainment. There were significant differences in consumers’ motives across gender, age, and marital status. Abstract In this article, we examine the factors which lead to CEOs’ joy of working for the family firm, as it is expected to contribute to their willingness to invest in its perpetuation and success. We focus on three such factors: CEOs’ collective psychological ownership, their individual psychological ownership, and CEOs’ stewardship behavior. Abstract This article reports the findings of ethnographic research conducted in Finland. Respondents describe changes brought about by European Union regulations and Finnish laws that lack cultural sensitivity thereby transforming the nature of traditional Sami entrepreneurship. Many of these indigenous people have had to start an additional business or work elsewhere to make ends meet.
E-commerce entrepreneurship as a national priority: the case of Thailand

Thailand has been one of the most successful developing countries. This progress came to a sudden halt in 1997 when the Asian financial crisis hit this country. Thailand responded by creating a favourable environment for business incubation as a high priority at the national government level. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the steps taken by the Thai government to encourage e-commerce entrepreneurship as a key component of its successful reaction to the economic crisis of 1997 and e-service as a source for its future national competitiveness.
Effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurship intention and related outcomes in educational contexts: a meta-analysis

Abstract Although some meta-analyses have investigated the effect of Entrepreneurship Education (EE), they mixed studies with high and low methodological quality. Thus, their results might overestimate the impact. This paper aims to examine the efficacy of the EE in student samples, attending to studies with a pre-posttest design and a control group. The results showed small effect sizes for EE in increasing Entrepreneurship Intention (EI) and Self-efficacy. Moreover, meta-regression confirmed that the duration of intervention programs predicted larger effect sizes for the EI. Finally, the practical implications of other potential moderator variables are discussed.

Effects of network market orientation on new ventures' international performance

By combining international entrepreneurship and marketing aspects, this work attempts to emphasise the importance of relational knowledge in international new ventures by studying the influence of network market orientation on the international results obtained by these firms. The results obtained in the comparison with the proposed structural equations model confirm that network market orientation is a determining factor for firms to achieve better international results. This influence is observed both directly and indirectly with the mediating effect on the differentiation– and cost–based competitive advantages developed by INVs.
Collaborative innovation: the decade that radically changed drilling performance

This article sheds light on key factors associated with innovations that are mainly based on experiential learning. The history of a company engaged in the offshore oil and gas industry exemplifies the points: Hitec started out as a small company with limited financial resources, but over a 10-year period, its innovations and improvements radically transformed offshore oil and gas drilling operations. An evolutionary methodological approach is balanced by theoretically informed analysis. A main finding is that customer–supplier interaction was crucial.
