Identitāte un telpa Čikano literatūrā: Sandras Sisneros romāni

Šis pētnieciskais darbs aplūko, kā identitāte un telpa tiek attēlotas Sandras Sisneros romānos „The House on Mango Street” (1989), „Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories” (1992) un „Caramelo” (2003). Pētījuma mērķis ir izzināt, kā, parvietošanās un dzīves vietas pārmaiņu procesā, vieta ietekmē varoņu hibrīdidentitātes, ļauj saglabāt vietējā iezīmes globālā kontekstā. Pētījums tika veikts ar teksta tuvlasījuma analīzes palīdzību no naratoloģijas perspektīvas. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti var tikt izmantoti tālākai identitātes un telpas atainojuma Čikano literatūrā izpētei. Abstract Background Cancer chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairments are presumably associated with undesirable effects of chemotherapy on physiological functions of brain cells. Adaptogens are natural compounds or plant extracts increasing an organism's adaptability and survival in stress. They exhibited neuroprotective effects and increased cognitive functions in clinical studies in human beings. In both Aeschylus’ Agamemnon and Euripides’ Trojan Women, Cassandra plays the role of tragic heroine, subjected to Apollo’s manipulation, aware of the past and the present of the house of Atreus and able to predict the future; but on stage the people she speaks with do not seem to understand her predictions and are not persuaded by her words. The aim of the paper is to focus on the main features of the tragic character of Cassandra in Aeschylus and Euripides and to investigate the levels of manipulation and communication.

Darbā tiek pētīta iespēja vienmērīgi noslogot Cassandra datu bāzes klasteri, ja tanī tiek izmantotas lietotāja definētās funkcijas (LDF), kuras rada procesora slodzi. Lietotājs var uzrakstīt LDF ar dažādu izpildes laika sarežģītību. Katra no LDF var apstrādāt datus ar dažādu izmēru. Rezultātā atsevišķi klastera mezgli var tikt pārslogoti, kamēr pārējie ir brīvi. Pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt un veikt praktiskus eksperimentus slodzes vienmērīgas sadalīšanas algoritmam, kas noteiktu Cassandra klastera mezgla aizņemtības ilgumu, ja kopā ar LDF tiek izpildīti lasīšanas vaicājumi. Christa Wolf’s Cassandra is the landmark for refigurations of the Cassandra myth in the contemporary novel. Yet close to its date of publication, Ursule Molinaro (1979), Christine Brooke-Rose (1984) and Hilary Bailey (1993) published their own novelistic reworkings of the Cassandra myth. The presence of the Cassandra myth in the British novel is in contrast with the fruitful reworkings of the Trojan princess in poetry and drama. From the nineteenth century onwards, refigurations of Cassandra in prose writings in English range from the feminist essay to the novel of customs and the fin-de-siècle New Women utopias. The traditional historiography of early modern state-building has usually followed the western European paradigm of historiography, the usual models being France, England, Brandenburg-Prussia and Sweden. Regions that do not follow this paradigm have simply been left out and labeled “backward” or as “lagging behind”. In this literary review, our focus is on two different and rather surprising cases of early modern state formation: the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Spanish colonial empire in Latin America.
