A teacher’s practical knowledge contains the teacher’s beliefs about the goals, values and principles of education that guide his or her actions in the classroom. There is still a lack of knowledge about how teachers’ practical knowledge influences their teaching. The present study examines student teachers’ practical knowledge in the context of teaching climate change in elementary schools. Participating student-teachers planned their lessons using the principles and ideas of inquiry-based science teaching and the communicative approach. Pupils’ mathematical self-concept in the beginning of the sixth grade

The article shows the mathematical self-concept of the sixth grade pupils (n=57) in relation to their mathematical skills in school. Mathematical skills were measured with the help of a survey of the command of the decimal system and on the basis of the report grades in mathematics. The pupils’ mathematical self-concept was surveyed in the beginning of the sixth grade with the interviews and a questionnaire using the Likert-scale. Rather than having a consistent food policy, countries often tend to regulate food from the margins of other policy domains such as agricultural, environmental, welfare or educational policies. Regulatory interventions perceive food as an instrument rather than a domain with its own specific set of policy issues and view food provision as an activity to achieve certain economic, social and environmental objectives. This fragments the food policy into disintegrated points of interventions from various policy areas and leaves unregulated voids that can be exploited either to improve or to reduce the effectiveness of the interventions. Por esta razón, los objetivos de este estudio se centraron en la evaluación del nivel de adhesión a las creencias en pseudociencias de los estudiantes de secundaria y en el análisis de la influencia del género, nivel académico y emociones generadas en el aula de ciencias sobre dichas creencias. En este trabajo se presenta una propuesta para la alfabetización en salud a través de la concreción y definición de las competencias que debe adquirir el alumnado durante la Educación Obligatoria. Mediante un estudio Delphi, se han determinado ocho ámbitos de salud, identificando los problemas o situaciones de salud que debe saber resolver el alumnado, así como las competencias que desarrollar y los contenidos de aprendizaje necesarios para afrontar cada uno de estos problemas.
